Commissioner of the Supreme Court appointed.
WILLIAM MICHAEL JOSEPH WALSH, Esquire, of P.O. Box 58, Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the State of New South Wales, has this day been appointed by the Right Honourable Sir Robert Stout, P.C., K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the State of New South Wales under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Waipawa, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Result of Proposal to raise Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Waipawa was taken on the 22nd day of January, 1925, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £350 for the installation of electric lighting in the municipal buildings at Waipawa.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 90, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 15 ; the number of informal votes was 1.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice respecting Proposed Abolition of Norfolk Downs Drainage District, County of Piako.

IT is hereby notified that it is proposed to abolish the Norfolk Downs Drainage District, in the County of Piako, pursuant to the provisions of section 4, Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1922.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge all written objections to, or petitions against, the proposed abolition, which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Borough of Waitara.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under section 132 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto, being now part of the Borough of Waitara, may be excluded from the said borough and included in the County of Taranaki. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed exclusion, which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF WAITARA.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Section 15, Block III, Paritutu Survey District; thence easterly along the northern boundaries of Sections 15 and 16 to the western side of Ranfurly Street; thence southerly along the western side of Ranfurly Street to Raleigh Street, across Raleigh Street, and along the said western side of Ranfurly Street and the eastern boundary of Section 24, Block III aforesaid, to the western side of the Waitara—New Plymouth Railway; thence generally southerly along that railway to the southern boundary of Section 27, Block III aforesaid; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Section 27 to its south-western corner; thence northerly along the western boundary of the said Section 27 and Section 22 to Raleigh Street, across Raleigh Street, and along the western boundary of Section 15, Block III aforesaid, to its north-western corner, the place of commencement.
