Sections 32s and 35s : The lessee will be required to take one-twelfth share of miscellaneous license over Section 2, Block XXIII, Teviot District, the area of which is 77 acres, and the total annual rental £5, and to pay in cash £50, being one-twelfth share with the lessees of Runs 603, 638 to 644, and Allotments 3s, 7s, and 8s, in huts, dip, yards, also bridge over the Teviot River.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION.

Teviot Settlement is situated about five miles from Miller’s Flat and about twenty miles from Beaumont Railway-station, the present terminus of the Lawrence-Roxburgh Railway. The land is undulating, each section containing a large proportion of ploughable land. The greater part is at present in pasture. The soil is a good schist loam, on a clay or rubble subsoil. Capable of growing cereal, root crops, and very good grass. Access is provided by formed roads.

PURSUANT to the authority vested in me by section sixty-five of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, and by an Order in Council of the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, establishing (inter alia) an Island Council for the Island of Mauke, in the Cook Islands, and determining the constitution thereof, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

of the district of Ngatiarua, to be a member of the said Island Council of Mauke in lieu of Akarere, deceased, to hold office during my pleasure as from the date hereof.

Postmasters appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take an receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

Officer appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section two hundred and eighty-eight of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, and section sixteen of the Justices of the Peace Amendment Act, 1923, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Oliver Joseph Wright, being a person holding the office of Accountant, Chief Post Office, Christchurch, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
