Trustees for Public Cemeteries appointed.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 18th December, 1924.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance
of section 4 of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, been pleased
to appoint

Jabez Eli Wells
to be a trustee, in place of John McPherson, deceased, to
provide for the maintenance and care of the Waimea South
Public Cemetery;

William McDonald and
Robert Roderick McLennan
to be trustees, in place of John Hugh McKenzie and William
Dreever, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care
of the Kaurihohore Public Cemetery;

Robert Wilson
to be a trustee, in place of Thomas Vivian Caverhill, resigned,
to provide for the maintenance and care of the Matata Public
Cemetery;

Samuel Smith
to be a trustee, in place of George Frederick Wayland, resigned,
to provide for the maintenance and care of the Cust and
West Eyreton Public Cemetery.

to be a trustee, in place of Lewis Nathaniel Faull, deceased,
to provide for the maintenance and care of the Tikorangi
Public Cemetery;

Arthur Tong
to be a trustee, in place of Isaac William Mawson, deceased,
to provide for the maintenance and care of the Ellesmere
Public Cemetery;

Russell Smith
to be a trustee, in place of Francis Latter, resigned, to provide
for the maintenance and care of the Pahi Public Cemetery;

Hugh Montgomery,
George Hugh Bradley, and
Henry Playsted Sills
to be trustees, in place of Arthur Johnston Galston, Benjamin
Charles New, and George Coverhouse Sills, resigned, to
provide for the maintenance and care of the Arapohue Public
Cemetery.

to be Registrar of Marriages and of Births and Deaths for the
district of Stewart Island, and Registrar of Births and
Deaths of Maoris at Half-moon Bay, as from the 10th
December, 1924.

to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Factories Act,

Measures Act, 1908, and an Inspector for the purposes of the
Scaffolding and Excavation Act, 1922, as from the 1st day of
December, 1924.
