during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the first day of July in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being the period of thirty-six and a half
(36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, for the purpose of paying the interest and other
charges on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000), autho-
rized to be raised by the Rodney County Council under the
above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of formation and
metalling of roads in the Albert Riding, the said Rodney
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
and seven-eighths of a penny (1¾d.) in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property in the Albert Riding
Special-rating District No. 3, comprising all that area within
the boundaries commencing at Port Albert Wharf on the
Oruawharo River, thence by that river north, east, and
south to the southern boundary of Section 138, Oruawharo
Parish; thence southerly through Section 136 to the north-
west boundary of Section 135 of the same Parish; thence by
the western boundary of Section 135 through the Section 134
and the western boundary of Section 132 to the parish bound-
ary; by the parish boundary eastwards to the south-west
corner of Section 118, Parish of Oruawharo; thence by a
public road southwards to the northern boundary of Section
21, Block XVI, Otamatea Survey District; by the northern
boundaries of Sections 21, 13, 12, and 10, Block XVI, Otama-
tea Survey District, to a point where the northern boundary
of Section 75, Block XVI, Otamatea Survey District, joins
the parish boundary; thence westerly by the northern bound-
aries of Sections 73, 68, 160, 158, and 157, Parish of Tauhoa,
to eastern boundary of Section 81 of the same parish; by the
eastern and northern boundaries of that section, by the
northern boundary of Section 82, to a public road at the
north-eastern boundary of Section 84, Parish of Tauhoa;
thence northerly by the western boundary of Section 9, Parish
of Wharehine, and the western boundaries of Sections 8 and 6 of
the same parish, and the western boundary of Section 195,
Oruawharo Parish, to the Wharehine Stream at a point where
the public road crosses the said stream near the south-western
of Section 169, Parish of Oruawharo; thence northerly by
the western boundary of Section 171 of the same parish to
the Port Albert Wharf, the point of commencement: and
that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the
first day of July, in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

GREY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

WHEREAS in pursuance and exercise of the powers
vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1913, the Grey Electric-power Board was duly autho-
rized to make and levy a special-rate of 1 1/40ths of a penny
in the £1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property of
the Grey Electric-power Board within the Grey Electric-
power District: And whereas the said Grey Electric-power
Board deems it expedient to increase the said special rate to
1 1/10ths penny in the £1 on the capital value of all rateable
property within the said district: Now, therefore, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Grey Electric
Power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund,
and other charges on a loan of £80,000, authorized to be
raised by the Grey Electric-power Board under the above-
mentioned Act for the development of electric power within
the district, the said Grey Electric-power Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of 1 1/10ths of a penny in the £1
upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the
basis of the capital value) of the Grey Electric-power District;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly
on the last days of March and September in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the
amendments thereof; and also of the taking under the
said Act by the GISBORNE HARBOUR BOARD of certain
land for harbour-works purposes.

NOTICE is hereby given that the GISBORNE HARBOUR
BOARD, under the provisions of the Public Works
Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, intend to take by
Proclamation the following lands, namely:—

All those pieces or parcels of land situate in the Borough
of Gisborne containing by admeasurement in the aggregate
one acre three perches and four-tenths of a perch (1 a. 0 r.
3·4 p.), more or less, being—

(a.) Section 55 of the Kaiti Block, comprising one rood,
and being all the land comprised and described in
certificate of title, Volume 22, folio 69.

(b.) Sections 56 and 57 of the Kaiti Block, comprising
two roods, and being all the land comprised and
described in certificate of title, Volume 32, folio 194.

(c.) Part of Section 58 of the Kaiti Block, comprising
one-tenth of a perch, and being part of the land
comprised and described in certificate of title,
Volume 38, folio 103.

(d.) Part of Section 32 of the Kaiti Block, comprising
six perches and three-tenths of a perch, and being
part of the land comprised and described in certifi-
cate of title, Volume 36, folio 124.

(e.) Section 33 of the Kaiti Block, comprising thirty-seven
perches, and being all the land comprised and de-
scribed in certificate of title, Volume 22, folio 77.

By direction of the Gisborne Harbour Board a plan of the
land proposed to be taken is deposited in the office of the
Gisborne Harbour Board (such lands not being within a
road district), where the same may be inspected at all
reasonable hours.

The works proposed to be executed upon the said lands
are works in connection with the outer-harbour scheme
authorized to be made under the provisions of the Gisborne
Harbour Board Enabling Act, 1919, and amendments thereof,
and incidental thereto, and the description of the lands
required to be taken are as above and as shown on the said
plan.

All persons affected having any well-grounded objections
to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands
are hereby required to send such objection in writing to the
Gisborne Harbour Board within forty days from the first
publication of this notice.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between MARIN GOJACK, MAUDIE GOJACK,
and ROBERT DONALD, carrying on business as Boardinghouse-
keepers at Adelaide House, No. 101 Hobson Street, Auckland,
under the style of “M. Gojack,” has been dissolved by
mutual consent as from the 25th day of November, 1924.

All accounts and moneys owing by and to the late
Partnership shall be paid and received respectively by the
said ROBERT DONALD, who will in future carry on the said
business.

Counties Act, 1920.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waipara County Council,
in pursuance of the provisions of sections 18 and 19 of
the Public Works Act, 1908, and section 192 of the Counties
Act, 1920, and of all other Acts and powers enabling them in
that behalf, intends to execute a certain public work—namely,
the taking of the parcels of land more particularly described
in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of workers’ dwellings.
