Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke as from the eighteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, the Order in Council dated the twenty-ninth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 78, of the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, determining the number of representatives of each constituent district on the Board of the Waitemata (formerly Kaipara) Electric-power District, and doth hereby determine, as from the aforesaid eighteenth day of December, with respect to the Waitemata Electric-power District as follows :—

The constituent districts which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto are hereby constituted combined districts for the purposes of the said Act.

The local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the letter (p) is hereby declared to be the principal local authority of the combined district in which that constituent district is included.

The number of representatives of each combined district on the Board of the said district shall be the number specified in the second column of the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that combined district.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint Thursday, the eighteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, as the day on which shall be held the first election of the representatives of the combined districts in the Waitemata Electric-power District, being an electric-power district duly constituted by Proclamation dated the fifteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and altered by Proclamation dated the twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 79, of the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.

Increasing Borrowing-powers of Palmerston North Fire Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of December, 1924.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty-nine of the Finance Act, 1920, as amended by section forty-two of the Finance Act, 1924 (hereinafter referred to as “ the said sections ”), that the Governor-General in Council may, on the application of any Fire Board established under the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, extend the powers of that Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by section six of the Fire Brigades Amendment Act, 1908 :
And whereas application has been made by the Board of the Palmerston North Fire District for increase in the borrowing-powers of the said Board, as provided by the said sections, and it is desirable to grant such request :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said sections, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the powers of the said Palmerston North Fire Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by section six of the Fire Brigades Amendment Act, 1908, are hereby extended, but so as not to exceed the sum of twenty-five thousand pounds :
Provided that no moneys as aforesaid shall be borrowed, except subject to the provisions of the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, and its amendments.

Portion of Tennyson Street, in the Borough of Mount Eden, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Mount Eden Borough Council on the tenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, viz. :—
“ The Mount Eden Borough Council, being the local body having control of the road, hereby resolves that the portion of Tennyson Street which is less than 66 ft. in width be exempted from provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, the portion in question being Lots 1 and 21 and part Lots 2 and 22 of a subdivision of part Allotment 129 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland ” ;
such portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of street situated in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Mount Eden, known as Tennyson Street, fronting Lots 1 and 21 and parts Lots 2 and 22 of a subdivision of part Allotment 129 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 60111, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
