In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of KIDDEY AND COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary meeting of the above-named company, held on the 6th day of October, 1924, the following resolution was passed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, as it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that G. S. CRIMP, of Hamilton, be appointed Liquidator.”

NEW ZEALAND DAIRY-PRODUCE CONTROL BOARD.
To OWNERS and EXPORTERS of all BUTTER and CHEESE to be exported from New Zealand,—
THE above-named Board hereby give notice that on the 6th day of October, 1924, it by resolution determined to exercise limited control over the export of all butter and cheese which should from and after the date hereinafter mentioned be exported from New Zealand to any port on the East Coast of North America or any port in Great Britain or the Continent of Europe (between Bordeaux and Hamburg, both inclusive) to the extent and for the purpose of requiring that all butter and cheese so exported should be insured under a marine policy held and arranged by the Board against all risks from any cause whatsoever (including war and strike risks, shortage of fuel, and malicious damage). The said control, it was resolved, shall operate as from the 19th day of October, 1924, or such later date in such month on which the screw steamer “Karama” shall commence her loading at Gisborne, and shall cease on the 31st day of August, 1925, and shall not apply to butter or cheese not shipped on or before that date.
Shipments by the following steamers now loading or about to load at ports in New Zealand are exempted from the operation of the said limited control, namely: S.s. “Maimoa,” s.s. “Mamari,” s.s. “Kaikoura,” s.s. “Rotorua,” s.s. “Port Caroline.”

PUBLIC notice is herewith given that the PORTOBELLO ROAD BOARD resolved to become a registering authority under sections 12 and 13 of the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, and that the above resolution was confirmed at a meeting of the Board held at Portobello on 4th September, 1924.

CHANGE OF NAME.
I, JOHN COOK, heretofore called and known by the name of “Francis John McCutcheon,” of Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, in New Zealand, Shop-assistant, hereby give public notice that on the 8th day of October, 1924, I firmly and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said name of “Francis John McCutcheon,” and then assumed and adopted, and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the said name of “JOHN COOK,” instead of the said name of “Francis John McCutcheon.”
And I give further notice that by a deed poll dated the 8th day of October, 1924, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wellington District, I firmly and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said name of “Francis John McCutcheon,” and declared that I had assumed and adopted, and intended thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “JOHN COOK” instead of “Francis John McCutcheon,” and was to be at all times thereafter called, known, and subscribed by the name of “JOHN COOK” exclusively.

In the matter of change of surname by LESLIE ROY DALTON to LESLIE ROY DALTON LINDSAY.
I, LESLIE ROY DALTON LINDSAY, of Palmerston North, Draper’s Assistant, heretofore called and known by the name of “Dalton” hereby give public notice that on 3rd day of October, 1924, I formally determined to assume and take and henceforth to use the surname of “Lindsay” in addition to the surname of “Dalton,” but as my last and principal surname.
And I give further notice that by deed poll dated the 3rd day of October, 1924, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court at Palmerston North on 7th day of October, 1924, I formally determined to assume and take the said surname of “Lindsay” in addition to my surname of “Dalton,” but as my last and principal surname, and declared that I had assumed and taken and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the said surname of “Lindsay” in addition to the surname of “Dalton,” but as my last and principal surname, and so as to be at all times thereafter known as and described by the name of “LESLE ROY DALTON LINDSAY.”

I, ERIC FREDERICK DEADMAN (heretofore called and known by the name of “Eric Frederick Williams”), of Piriaka, in the Provincial District of Wellington, in New Zealand, Farm Hand, hereby give public notice that on the 7th day of October, 1924, I firmly and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said surname of “Williams,” and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the said name of “Deadman” instead of the said name of “Williams.”
And I give further notice that by a deed poll dated the 7th day of October, 1924, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Hamilton District, I firmly and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of “Williams,” and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Deadman” instead of “Williams,” and was to be at all times thereafter called, known, and subscribed by the name of “Deadman” exclusively.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
CHESTER AND OLIVE, OF INVERCARGILL, CONTRACTORS.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between EDWARD CHARLES CHESTER and JAMES CONSTANTINE OLIVE in the business of Contractors under the style of “Chester and Olive,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. All the assets and liabilities of the said Partnership are being taken over by the said EDWARD CHARLES CHESTER, who will in future carry on the business on his own account under the name of the “CHESTER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between JAMES JESSE STROUD, ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON, and HENRY GEORGE HARRAWAY, carrying on business at Gore under the style of “The Utility Company,” has been dissolved as from the date hereof. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said JAMES JESSE STROUD, who will continue to carry on the said business under the above name.
