EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Eketauna County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Eketauna County Pah Valley Road Loan of £600, 1924, authorized to be raised by the Eketauna County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of re-forming and metalling the Pah Valley Road, the said Eketauna County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven thirty-seconds (11/32nds) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Pah Valley Special-rating Area in the County of Eketauna; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Council of the County of Matamata hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £30,000, authorized to be raised by the Council of the County of Matamata under the above-mentioned Act, for the metalling, widening, and bituminous-surfacing of portions of the following roads in the Matamata Riding—viz., Hinuera—Matamata, Matamata—Waharoa, Waharoa—Waitoa, Waharoa—Turanga-o-moana, Matamata—Turanga-o-moana, Hot Springs Corner—Okauia, Matamata—Te Poi, and Mangawhero Road—the said Council of the County of Matamata hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifteen-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Matamata Riding of the County of Matamata, comprising the whole of the said riding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the body corporate called THE MAYOR, COUNCILLORS, AND CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF AUCKLAND intends to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a public park and recreation-ground, and that a plan of the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the Town Clerk’s office, Town Hall, Queen Street, Auckland, and may be inspected there without fee during office hours; and further notice is hereby given that unless within forty days from the 20th day of September, 1924 (being the first publication of this notice), any written objection to the taking of such land is sent to the Town Clerk, Auckland City Council, the said Auckland City Council shall forthwith proceed to take the said land for such work.
