The Southern Side of Portion of Norfolk Street and the Northern Side of Portion of Douglas Street, in the City of Auckland, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of September, 1924.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Auckland City Council on the seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, viz.:

“That the Auckland City Council, having control of Douglas and Norfolk Streets, Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the said streets fronting Lots 105 and 106 of Allotment 42, Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland”;

such portions of streets being described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

THE southern side of all that portion of street, situated in the North Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, known as Norfolk Street, fronting Lots 105 and 106 of Allotment 42, Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland.

Also the northern side of all that portion of street situated in the said land district and city, known as Douglas Street, fronting Lots 105 and 106 of Allotment 42, Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland.

As the said portions of streets are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 60737, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

The Southern Side of Portion of Gilbert Street, in the Borough of New Plymouth, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of September, 1924.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the New Plymouth Borough Council on the eighteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, viz.:

“That the New Plymouth Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the street hereinafter mentioned, hereby resolves and declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen, subsection one, of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the southern side of Gilbert Street to which Section 1074, New Plymouth, has frontage”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the southern side of the portion of Gilbert Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 60615, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

The Southern Side of Portion of Pipitea Street, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of September, 1924.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the eleventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, viz.:

“The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the southern side of all that portion of Pipitea Street beginning at a point 158 links from its junction with Mulgrave Street, and extending for a distance of approximately 68·18 links, being part frontage of Town Section 539, City of Wellington”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the southern side of the portion of Pipitea Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

THE southern side of all that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Pipitea Street, fronting part Town Section 539, City of Wellington. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 59852, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink.

Revoking the Prohibition of the Importation of Preparations purporting to be Remedies for Drink and Drug Habits.—(C. No. 9.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of September, 1924.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section forty-six of the Customs Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council made on the nineteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and gazetted on the twenty-second day of November then instant, which prohibited the importation into New Zealand of the goods specified in the Schedule thereto.
