BOROUGH OF LOWER HUTT.

SECURITY RATE: WORKER'S DWELLING LOAN, £1,125.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,125, authorized to be raised by the Lower Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing a worker's dwelling, the said Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven four-hundredths of a penny (11/400d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until such time as the loan is fully paid off.

THE MOUNT ROSKILL ROAD DISTRICT.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Mount Roskill Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,250, authorized to be raised by the Mount Roskill Road Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the laying of a water-main along Mount Albert Road from May Road to Vincent Road, the said Mount Roskill Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound and 3/32 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special-rating area, comprising Blocks 87, 87B, 87C, Titirangi Parish, containing 319 acres 3 roods 4 perches, bounded by Mount Albert Road, May Road, and Richardson Road; and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 14th day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 223 of the Companies Act, 1908, that, at an extraordinary general meeting of members of above-named company, duly convened and held at the company's registered office, Tarbert Street, Alexandra, on Saturday, the 23rd day of August, 1924, the following extraordinary resolution was submitted and carried by the requisite majority:—

Resolution: "That the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908."

Further: That CHARLES EDWARD RICHARDS, of Alexandra, Accountant, be and he was duly appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

Hyder, will carry on the fire, marine, and accident business of the AUSTRALIAN PROVINCIAL ASSURANCE ASSOCIATION (LIMITED) at No. 21 Brandon Street, Wellington, where all notices may be delivered and service of legal processes made.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and its amendments; and in the matter of THE CHARLES HAINES ADVERTISING AGENCY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above company, which is being voluntarily wound up, are required on or before the 10th day of October, 1924, being the day fixed for that purpose by the undersigned, to send their names and addresses and the particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors

(if any) to D. G. Johnston, Liquidator of the above company, and, if so required by notice in writing from the said Liquidator, are by their solicitors to come in and prove their said debts and claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

HEREBY give notice that by an order of the above-named Court dated the 5th day of September, 1924, the above-named company was ordered to be wound up by the Court under the provisions of the said Act, and I hereby call a meeting of creditors of the company, to be holden at my office, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, on Monday, the 29th day of September, 1924, at 11 o'clock a.m. And I further give notice that all claims against the said company must be lodged with me on or before the 5th day of November, 1924.

Hicks and Ainger, Bowron's Buildings, 162 Manchester Street, Christchurch, on Tuesday, the 9th day of September, 1924, at 3 p.m., the following resolution was passed as a special resolution:—

"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that JAMES AINGER, of Christchurch, Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up."
