City of Dunedin known as Wales Street, where the said
street abuts on Allotments 3 and 4, Subdivision of Allot-
ment 35, Bishopscourt, as the said portion of the said street
is more particularly shown by brown colour on the plan
hereunto annexed;
“ That the Council of the City of Dunedin hereby resolves
that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen
of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that
portion of the south-western side of that street in the City
of Dunedin known as Fairfax Street, where the said street
abuts on Allotments 1, 2, and 3, Subdivision of Allotment 35,
Bishopscourt, as the said portion of the said street is more
particularly shown by brown colour on the plan hereunto
annexed”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the south-eastern side of
portion of Wales Street or the south-western side of portion
of Fairfax Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within
a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-lines of the
said portions of street.
SCHEDULE.
THE south-eastern side of all that portion of street situated
in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, known as Wales
Street, fronting Allotments 3 and 4, Subdivision of Allot-
ment 35, Bishopscourt.
Also the south-western side of all that portion of street
situated in the said land district and city, known as Fairfax
Street, fronting Lots 1, 2, and 3 of the said Allotment 35,
Bishopscourt.
As the said portions of street are more particularly deline-
ated on the plan marked P.W.D. 58599, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the
Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured brown.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day
of January, 1924.

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Temuka Borough Council, acting under
and in pursuance of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1913, proposes to raise a loan of five thousand pounds for
the purpose of streets-improvements:
And whereas the voting-paper used at the poll of rate-
payers upon the said proposal was in the form numbered six
in the Second Schedule to the Local Elections and Polls Act,
1908, instead of in the form numbered one in the First Schedule
to the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been
misled by the said irregularity or defect, and is expedient
to validate the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one
hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order
and declare that the proceedings taken shall be valid to all
intents and purposes as if the voting-paper used at the poll
of ratepayers had been in the proper form, and that the
validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan
shall not be called into question by reason only of the irre-
gularity or defect aforesaid.

WHEREAS the Matamata Town Board, acting under
and in pursuance of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1913, proposes to raise a loan of five thousand pounds for
completing the water-supply:
And whereas section ten of the said Act provides that the
poll of the ratepayers shall be taken not less than one nor
more than three weeks after the day of the last publication
of the notice of intention to raise the loan:
And whereas the poll of ratepayers was not taken not more
than three weeks after the last publication of the said notice:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been
misled by the said irregularity or defect, and it is expedient
to validate the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one
hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare
that the proceedings taken shall be valid to all intents and
purposes as if the provisions of section ten of the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1913, had been correctly complied with, and that
the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said
loan shall not be called into question by reason only of the
irregularity or defect aforesaid.

WHEREAS the Waimarino County Council, acting under
and in pursuance of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1913, proposes to raise a loan of four hundred pounds
for completing the Raetihi-Ohura Road:
And whereas the special order authorizing the raising of
the loan is irregular in so far that the public notification of
the time and place fixed for the confirmation of the said
special order, although given four times, did not comply with
the provisions of section ninety-nine of the Counties Act, 1920:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been
misled by the said irregularity, and it is expedient to validate
the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one
hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order
and declare that the proceedings taken to raise the said loan
shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though public
notification of the special order had been correctly given, and
that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said
loan shall not be called into question by reason of the irregu-
larity aforesaid.

Authorizing Erection of a Public Hall on Pirongia Domain,
Auckland Land District.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority con-
ferred upon me by subsection two of section four of the
Public Reserves and Domains Amendment Act, 1921–22, I
John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Pirongia
Domain Board to erect a public hall on that portion of the
Pirongia Domain under its control described in the Schedule
hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 2 on deposited
plan No. 13952, being portion of Section 43, Town of Alex-
andra East, and being all the land comprised in certificate of
title, Vol. 339, folio 23, Auckland Registry.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General.
