FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREAS EXCLUDED FROM ORTON DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Lot 5 shown on deposited plan 7294, and proceeding thence easterly along the southern boundary of said Lot 5; southerly along the western boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 on deposited plan 9806; westerly along the northern boundary of Opuatia No. 7b Block; and southerly along the western boundary of that block to its south-western corner; thence along a right line to the north-western corner of Lot 1 of Section 3, Block XIII, Maramarua Survey District, and along the western boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 of said Section 3 to the south-western corner thereof; thence generally northerly and easterly along the boundary of the Orton Drainage District as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1922, page 765, to the place of commencement.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, being Sections 9 and 10 (education reserves), Block XIII, Maramarua Survey District.


SECOND SCHEDULE.

ORTON DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District situated in Blocks IX, XIII, and XIV, Maramarua Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the north-east corner of Opuatia part No. 7c as shown on plan No. 8329, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and proceeding thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Opuatia No. 10a and part 10c No. 2, containing an area of 8 acres 3 roods 30 perches; thence along the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid part 10c No. 2 to its junction with the Waikato River; thence along the left bank of the Waikato River in a southerly direction to the south-eastern corner of part Allotment 6, Parish of Opuatia, shown on deeds plan 170; thence generally westerly and northerly along the southern and western boundary of aforesaid part Allotment 6 to the southern boundary of Lot 4 on plan 14623, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Lots 4 and 5 on above plan to the eastern boundary of Section 7, Block XIII, Maramarua Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 7 and 8 of Block XIII aforesaid to a public road; thence south-westerly along said road to the southernmost point of Section 8 aforesaid; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of said Section 8 to and across a public road; thence south-westerly, and thence north-westerly, along said road to the south-western corner of Lot 2 of Section 3, Block XIII, Maramarua Survey District; thence northerly along the western boundaries of said Lot 2 and of Lot 1 of said Section 3 to the north-western corner of said Lot 1; thence along a right line to the south-western corner of Opuatia No. 7d Block; thence northerly and easterly along the western and northern boundaries of said Opuatia No. 7d Block to the south-western corner of Lot 2 on plan 9806, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Lot 2 and Lot 1 on said plan to the north-west corner of said Lot 1; thence along the southern boundary of Lot 5 on plan 7294 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland to the south-western corner of said Lot 5; thence northerly, easterly, and again northerly along the western boundary of said Lot 5 to the north-western corner thereof; thence along the northern boundaries of said Lot 5 and Opuatia part No. 7c to the point of commencement.

Allocating Cost of certain Proceedings under Section 132 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, Proposed Borough of Rongonui.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of January, 1924.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the Hutt County Council and the Upper Hutt Town Board shall defray in equal proportions all the costs of the commission appointed under the said Act by Warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General dated the third day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, to hold an inquiry and make a report on the proposal to constitute the Borough of Rongonui.

Confirming Resolution made by the Wellington Harbour Board under Section 36, Finance Act, 1923.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of January, 1924.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Local Authorities Superannuation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Wellington Harbour Board passed a special resolution on the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, agreeing to grant as part of the scheme of the Superannuation Fund established by that Board under the said Act to certain of its employees on their retirement an additional annual allowance for the rest of their lives on the conditions contained in the said resolution, as authorized by section two of the Local Authorities Superannuation Amendment Act, 1912:

And whereas the said resolution was confirmed by the Governor by Order in Council dated the 10th day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, as provided by the said Act:

And whereas pursuant to section thirty-six of the Finance Act, 1923, the said Board has by a special resolution confirmed on the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, amended the said special resolution passed on the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, in manner therein appearing:

And whereas it is expedient to confirm the said amending resolution:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section thirty-six of the Finance Act, 1923, and section 6 of the Local Authorities Superannuation Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confirm the said special resolution of the Wellington Harbour Board confirmed by it on the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and doth hereby declare that such resolution shall take effect as on and from the twenty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.

Declaring Portion of the Ahuahu Road in the Waitotara County to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of January, 1924.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of Ahuahu Road, in the Wellington Land District, Waitotara County, commencing at the boundary between Sections 2 and 3, Block XII, Momahaki Survey
