Humphries); thence north-easterly along a right line running from Whakaihuwaka Trig. to the mouth of the Tangarakau Stream, to its intersection by the Whakaihuwaka Road; thence north-westerly along the Whakaihuwaka and Tau-mata Roads to the south-western corner of Section 1, Block XIV, Mahoe Survey District; thence northerly generally along the western boundaries of Section 1, Block XIV aforesaid, Section 10, Block X, Mahoe Survey District, and the south-western boundaries of Sections 8 and 7, Block X aforesaid, to the south-western corner of the said Section 7; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of the Pohokura Block, to the northernmost corner of the said Pohokura Block; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of the said block to its intersection with Junction Road; thence along Junction Road to the Waitara River; thence generally northerly up the Waitara River to the Mangapapa Road, the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of August, 1924.

Boundaries of Districts under the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908, altered.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Stratford and Whangamomona districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into two registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Stratford and Whangamomona districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be conterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of August, 1924.

Authorizing the Exchange of Portion of the Nelson College Endowment for other Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection one of section ninety-eight of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1923, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the reservation as an endowment over that portion of the Nelson College Endowment in the Canterbury Land District described in the Schedule hereto, and the vesting of the said land in the Governors of the said Nelson College.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 110 acres, more or less, being part of Sections 37 and 38, Block XVI, Terako, and Section 40, Block XIII, Towy Survey Districts (Square 80). Bounded towards the north, west, and north-east generally by the Waiau-Kaikoura Road and by other part of Sections 38 and 40 aforesaid; towards the south-east by the Campbell Creek; towards the south by Section 48, Block XVI, Terako Survey District; and again towards the west by Section 36,
Block XVI, Terako Survey District (Square 80). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 13/90/14B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of August, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—PURAKAUNUI SCENIC RESERVES.
SECTION 33, Block VII, Woodland Survey District: Area, 31 acres.
Section 34, Block VII, Woodland Survey District: Area, 3 acres.
Section 45, Block VII, Woodland Survey District: Area, 14 acres 2 roods.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/165, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of August, 1924.
