Appointing the Time and Place for the First Meeting of the Poverty Bay Electric-power Board.
TN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Electric-power Boards Amendment Act, 1920, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Public Works, do hereby appoint Saturday, the 9th day of August, 1924, at 11 o'clock a.m., as the time, and the Cook County Offices, Childers Road, Gisborne, as the place, for holding the first meeting of the Poverty Bay Electric-power Board.

Mair Bank Lighted Beacon.-Amended Position.
REFERRING to Notice to Mariners No. 2 of 15th January, 1924, notice is hereby given that the amended position of the lighted beacon locally known as Mair Bank Lighted
Beacon, which has been established within the entrance to Whangarei Harbour, is 331°, distant 11.4 cables, from the Light Tower on Sugarloaf Island.
Other particulars remain unaltered.

AUSTRALIA.-TORRES STRAIT.-GREAT NORTH-EAST CHANNEL.
Bramble Cay.-Beacon to be re-established.
Mariners and others are hereby notified that a new beacon will be established on Bramble Cay on or about 24th October, 1924.
Position.-Near the centre of Bramble Cay. Lat. 09° 08' S., long. 143° 52' E., on chart No. 2422.
Description.-Red framework tower, 42 ft. in height.
NOTE.-No further notice will be given.
AUSTRALIA.-EAST COAST.-INNER BARRIER ROUTE.
Pipon Island Light.-Intended Alteration in Arc of Visibility.- Power to be increased.
Mariners and others are hereby notified that the arc of visibility of the Group Flashing Light with white and red sectors on Pipon Island will be altered, and the power of the light will be increased, on or about 2nd October, 1924.
Position.-Lat. 14° 08' S., long. 144° 31' E., on chart No. 2922.
Sectors.-White from 82°, through east, south, west, and north, to 59°; red thence to 82°.
Power.-White light, 3000 candles ; red light, 1,200 candles.
Elevation.-55 ft. Visibility.-White, 13 miles : red, 12 miles.
Remarks.-The other details of the light will remain unchanged. No further notice will be given.
NOTE.-From about 13th September to 2nd October, while the alterations are being effected, a temporary light of low power having the same elevation, character, and sectors as the existing light, will be exhibited from the tower.
