NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 30, sub-
section (3), of the Mining Amendment Act, 1914, that,
unless sufficient cause to the contrary is shown within three
months from the date hereof, each of the mining privileges
held under the licenses mentioned in the Schedule hereto will
be struck off the Register.

THE following notices, received from the Deputy Mayor
of the Borough of Blenheim, are published in accordance
with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Loan Proposal to raise the Sum of £1,750
for the Purpose of completing the Erection of the New Fire
Brigade Station.
At a poll of the ratepayers of the said borough taken on the
llth day of July, 1924, the following votes were recorded,
namely : For the proposal, 395 ; against the proposal; 236 ;
informal, 23.
I therefore hereby declare the proposal to be carried.
Result of Poll on Loan Proposal to raise the Sum of £20,000
for the Purpose of purchasing Road-making Plant and
Machinery, effecting Permanent Works and Improvements
to the Borough Footpaths and Roads, and grading and filling
Borough Drains and Ditches.
At a poll of the ratepayers of the said borough taken on the
llth day of July, 1924, the following votes were recorded,
namely : For the proposal, 274 ; against the proposal, 353 ;
informal, 27.
I therefore hereby declare the proposal to be rejected.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the
Borough of Winton, is published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

BOROUGH OF WINTON.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Winton was taken on the 18th day of June, 1924,
at the Borough Council Chambers at Winton on the proposal
to borrow the sum of £14,000 for the purpose of providing,
laying, and constructing mains, branches, and service pipes
with valves, covers, and fire-plugs, permanent bore and pump-
house, water-tank, and pumping-plant, and the purchase of
land therefor, and of paying engineering and all other expenses
of and incidental to the before-mentioned works for the con-
struction and completion of a water-supply system within
the borough.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 48 ;
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 116 ;
the number of informal votes recorded was 1.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

THE SOUTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
and section 10 (2) of the Electric-power Boards' Amendment
Act, 1920, I hereby give notice that at a poll taken on
the llth day of July, 1924, of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Waimate, being a legal subdivision of the
South Canterbury Electric-power District, in pursuance
of the provisions of section 7 of the Electric-power
Boards Amendment Act, 1923, on the proposal to raise a
special loan of £40,000 for the construction of electric works,
and such other matters as are provided for by the Electric-
power Boards Act, 1918, and for the exercise of the powers
conferred on the said Board by sections 88 and 90 of the
Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, for the benefit of the said
Borough of Waimate,-
