Land held under Pastoral License proclaimed as ceasing to be set apart as National-endowment Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section eleven of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1921β22, it is enacted that where any national-endowment land is held under a pasturage lease or license for a term of not less than fourteen years, of which not less than seven years have expired, and the Board is of opinion that the land comprised in the lease or license is not more than sufficient for the maintenance of the lessee and his family, the Governor-General may, by Proclamation approved in Executive Council, declare that the said land shall cease to be national-endowment land :
And whereas it is deemed expedient that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto, which is held under pastoral license as aforesaid, should cease to be national-endowment land :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section eleven, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was set apart as national-endowment land under the provisions of section two hundred and fifty-eight of the Land Act, 1908, shall cease to be national-endowment land.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 6,923 acres, more or less, being Run 149A, situated in the Grasmere, Upper Ashley, and Kowai Survey Districts, and bounded as follows: Towards the west by the Waimakariri River; towards the north and east generally by Reserves 3274, 3547, Run 149B, Rural Section 26507, and a public road; towards the south by the road forming the northern boundary of Rural Section 26681; and again towards the east by the said Section 26681 and 24141; save and except a one-chain public road intersecting the above-described area. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 8/8/69, deposited in the head office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of July, 1924.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Selection by Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the twelfth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the Gazette of the eighteenth day of May then instant, setting apart Crown lands for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule hereto.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 24, Block VI, Hautapu Survey District: Area, 310 acres 3 roods 13 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of July, 1924.
