Approval of Fees for Licensing of Vehicles fixed by By-laws.—
Rodney County Council.

Wellington, 24th June, 1924.

IT is hereby notified, in accordance with section 109 of the Counties Act, 1920, that so much of the by-laws made by the Rodney County Council and sealed on the 28th day of May, 1924, as appoints the several sums to be paid to the Rodney County funds for the licensing of vehicles plying for hire has this day been approved by His Excellency the Governor-General.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks I, VIII, and IX,
Leaning Rock Survey District, for the Purposes of Section 5
of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1910.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of section 5 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1910; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Alexandra, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act,
1908 (Part III) and its Amendments.

WHEREAS Thomas Davey, late of Wairoa, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, Gardener, is the owner of the property described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as “the said property”):

And whereas it is not known whether he is alive or dead:

And whereas he has no agent in New Zealand with authority to take possession of and administer the said property:

And whereas the Public Trustee has been requested to take possession of and administer the said property under Part III of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, and its amendments:

And whereas the value of the said property does not exceed one thousand pounds (£1,000):

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the powers in that behalf conferred upon him by section 87 of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, as amended by subsection (2) of section 41 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, the Public Trustee, with the consent of the Public Trust Office Board, hereby gives notice that he intends to take possession of the said property and to exercise in respect thereof the powers conferred upon him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part III), and the amendments thereof.

Pharmacy Regulations. [H. 129.]

THE following regulations made by the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand, having been approved by His Excellency the Governor-General, are published in accordance with the Pharmacy Act, 1908.

REGULATIONS.

WHEREAS by the Pharmacy Act, 1908 (No. 143), it is enacted that the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand may from time to time make regulations for the purpose of generally carrying the said Act into effect:

And whereas the Governor-General in Council may from time to time suspend the operation of any such regulations:

Now, therefore, it is declared that the regulations published an page 3788 of Gazette No. 111 of 15th October, 1914, as regards examinations, Section A, shall be rescinded as from 1st July, 1925, and the following regulations substituted, to come into effect upon the said date:—

EXAMINATIONS, SECTION A.

The syllabus of examination for all candidates in Section A shall be the same as that in the annual calendar of the New Zealand University for Matriculation; and all candidates, before sitting for examination in Section B shall produce evidence that they have passed in Matriculation of the University of New Zealand, or of any other university that is recognized by the Board: provided that in every case the candidate has passed in the subject of Latin.
