Greenstone River; thence by that river to the south-eastern boundary of Run 431; thence by the southern and western boundary of Runs 431 and 418, by the watershed between the Hollyford River and the Eglinton River, to Mount Anau; thence by the summit of the leading range to Homer's Saddle; thence by the watershed between the Hollyford River and the Cleddau to Tutoko Peak; thence by the summit of the leading range to Pembroke Peak; thence by the watershed between John o' Groats River and Thurso River to the sea at Stripe Point, about one mile and a half south of the mouth of John o' Groats River; and thence towards the north-west by the ocean to the northern side of Big Bay, the place of commencement: including all the adjacent islands.

BOUNDARIES OF SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Dominion of New Zealand bounded towards the north-east generally by the Otago Land District hereinbefore described from Stripe Point to the sea at the south-eastern corner of Waikawa Survey District; thence towards the south and west generally by the sea to the place of commencement; with all islands adjacent thereto; and including Stewart, Solander, Ruapuke, the Snares, Auckland, Enderby, Campbell, Antipodes, and Bounty Islands, and all other islands or islets within the limits of the Dominion which lie south of the forty-seventh parallel of south latitude.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street in the City of Wellington of a Width less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of June, 1924.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Wellington City Council to permit the laying-off of a street of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet, within the area described in the Schedule hereto, it being inexpedient to lay off a street of a width of sixty-six feet in such area.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area of land situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 7Β·76 perches, more or less, being portion of Section 705, Town of Wellington. As the said area is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 59293, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Authorizing the Otago Central Electric-power Board to construct Electric Works.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of June, 1924.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by section forty-nine of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, as amended by section seventeen of the Electric-power Boards Amendment Act, 1920, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Otago Central Electric-power Board to erect electric lines in the Otago Central Electric-power District or outer area of such district as shown on plans marked P.W.D. 58340, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and such further lines as may from time to time be required in the said electric-power district or outer area as hereinafter defined; transformers and substations for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy in the Otago Central Electric-power District and outer area of such district as defined by Proclamation dated the twentieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 76, of the twenty-sixth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, subject to the following conditions.


CONDITIONS.

  1. No electric lines shall be used for the distribution of electrical energy until the Otago Central Electric-power Board has obtained a license for such purpose in accordance with the provisions of section 2 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911.

  2. Any conditions inserted in such licenses shall be strictly complied with by such Board.

  3. Such Board shall forward for the approval of the Minister of Public Works such further plans and particulars as the Minister of Public Works may from time to time require.

  4. The Board shall not, without the consent in writing of the Minister of Public Works, erect any electric lines along the routes of the Government main trunk transmission-lines.

  5. The works hereby authorized shall be constructed so as to comply with the regulations made under section 2 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, dated the 9th day of October, 1922, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 12th day of the same month, or any regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, which regulations shall be deemed to be incorporated herein.

  6. The Board shall substantially complete the works hereby authorized within a period of three years from the date of this license, or within such further time as the Minister may allow in the event of the work being delayed by strikes, lock-outs, breakdowns, or other unavoidable causes not due to any neglect by the Board.

Authorizing the South Canterbury Electric-power Board to construct Electric Works.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
