PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1908, the undersigned, the Mahakipawa Goldfields (Limited), hereby applies for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 2.30 p.m., 15th May, 1924.

Date and number of miner’s right: 19th May, 1924; No. 123333.

Locality of the race, and of its starting and terminal points: Section 67, Linkwater Survey District, starting at Butcher’s Creek and ending in Section 67, as shown in the plan annexed hereto.

Length and intended course of race: About one chain in a north-westerly direction.

Points of intake: Butcher’s Creek, 21 chains south-east from the old Golden Gate shaft.

Estimated time and cost of construction: One month; £10.

Mean depth and breadth: Depth, 20 ft.; breadth, 4 ft. 6 in.

Number of heads to be diverted: About seven.

Purpose for which water is to be used: Mining.

Proposed term of license: Twenty-one years.
