WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Waipukurau Borough Sewerage Connection Loan of £1,000, 1924—being part of a loan of £2,000 authorized by a poll of the ratepayers taken on the 17th day of January, 1924, for the purpose of financially assisting owners of premises in connecting with the borough sewers by loaning to such owners the amount necessary for payment for work of connection, either by contractor or the Council’s workmen, from owners’ premises to main sewer, together with all necessary requisites and fittings—the said Council hereby appropriates and pledges the special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Waipukurau made and levied by resolution passed on the 19th day of May, 1924; and the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of six (6) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
