suance and exercise of the powers in that behalf enabling me in the Rating Act, 1908, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim, declare, and directโ€”

(a.) That a valuation list for the Borough of Wanganui as constituted at the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, setting forth the rateable value of all rateable property in the district and the names of the occupiers and owners thereof, and all other necessary particulars as provided or required by section seven of the Rating Act, 1808, be prepared.

(b.) That such valuation list shall be prepared on or before the eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.

(c.) That such valuation list shall for the purposes of section thirteen of the Rating Act, 1908, be open for the inspection of all persons interested therein until the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.

(d.) That such valuation list may for the purpose of section fifteen of the Rating Act, 1908, be inspected until the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.

(e.) That objections to the said valuation list shall be delivered on or before the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.

And I do hereby further proclaim and declare that the provisions of the Rating Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and the regulations thereunder relating to the valuation list, shall apply hereto, save and except as the same are hereinbefore modified or altered.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of June, 1924.

Declaring a certain Area added to the County of Whakatane to be included in Omataroa Riding thereof.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the seventeenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, the boundaries of the County of Whakatane and Borough of Whakatane were altered by the exclusion of a certain area from the Borough of Whakatane and the inclusion of such area in the County of Whakatane: And whereas it is desirable that the area so added to the County of Whakatane should be included in the Omataroa Riding of that county:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section twenty-one of the Counties Act, 1920, do hereby declare that the area included as aforesaid in the County of Whakatane shall as on and from the eighteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, be included in the Omataroa Riding of the said county, and that the boundaries of that riding shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

OMATAROA RIDING.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-west corner of Allotment 28, Parish of Rangitaiki, and proceeding in a south-easterly direction along the high-water mark of the sea to the Whakatane River; thence southerly generally along the left bank of that river to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 31, Rangitaiki Parish; thence westerly generally along the southern boundary of the said Allotment 31 to its western boundary; thence northerly along the western boundaries of said Allotment 31 and Allotments 38, 30, 29, and 28 to the point of commencement.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Allotment 260A, Parish of Waimana, and proceeding in an easterly direction generally along the right bank of the Whakatane River to the eastern boundary of Subdivision I of Allotment 260c, Parish of Waimana; thence southerly and westerly, along the eastern and southern boundaries respectively of said Subdivision I, to the eastern boundary of Allotment 260B, Parish of Waimana; thence southerly along that boundary to a public road; thence westerly generally by the northern side of that road to the western boundary of Allotment 260A aforesaid; thence northerly along that boundary to the place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of June, 1924.

Crown Land set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 4, Block LXIV, Te Aroha Township: Area, 1 rood.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of June, 1924.

Withdrawing Land in Otago Land District from Leasing or Disposal under Village-settlement Conditions.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the fifth section of the Land Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and two, in so far as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto; and do declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the said land is hereby withdrawn from leasing or disposal under village-settlement conditions.


SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 166, Komako Township: Area, 6 acres 2 roods 20 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of June, 1924.
