BOUNDARIES OF SPECIAL-RATING AREA.
All that area in the Piako County, of the Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the northern corner of Lot 5 Te Puni nga No. 1 and Waihongi Block and following along its eastern boundary fronting No. 8 Road and continuing along that road forming the eastern boundaries of Lots 4, 3, 2, and 1 to the easternmost corner of the last named Section 1; thence following along the southern boundary to the southernmost corner; thence following the western boundary of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 to the westernmost corner of that section; thence along the northern boundary line of the last-mentioned section to its most northern corner, the point of commencement.

TIMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Timaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £31,000 (to be known as the “Timaru Borough Waterworks Loan (No. 5) of £31,000”) authorized to be raised by the Timaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of improving and extending the borough waterworks and water-supply in accordance with the report of the 4th day of July, 1923, of Mr. J. H. Howitt, C.E., Borough Engineer, and for other purposes in relation thereto prescribed by the said Acts or either of them, the said Timaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-three sixty-fourths (23/64) of a penny in the pound sterling upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Timaru, comprising the whole of the Borough of Timaru; and this Council resolves that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, as from the 30th day of September, 1923, and shall, without further proceedings by the Council, be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TIMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Timaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £10,000 (to be known as the “Timaru Borough Streets Kerbing and Channelling Loan (No. 1) of £10,000”), authorized to be raised by the Timaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of constructing about thirty-one miles, more or less, of streets, kerbing, and channelling work in the borough, and for other purposes in relation thereto prescribed by the said Acts or either of them, the said Timaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eight sixty-fourths (8/64) of a penny in the pound sterling upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Timaru, comprising the whole of the Borough of Timaru; and this Council resolves that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, as from the 30th day of September, 1923, and shall, without further proceedings by the said Council, be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TIMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Timaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £7,000 (to be known as the “Timaru Borough Drainage and Sewerage Works Loan (No. 7) of £7,000”), authorized to be raised by the Timaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of extending and completing the drainage of the Watlington area of the said borough in accordance with the plans prepared by Mr. J. H. Howitt, C.E., Borough Engineer, and also for the purpose of extending such drainage-works in other portions of the said borough and for other purposes in relation thereto prescribed by the said Acts or either of them, the said Timaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of six sixty-fourths (6/64) of a penny in the pound sterling upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Timaru, comprising the whole of the. Borough of Timaru; and this Council resolves that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, as from the 30th day of September, 1923, and shall, without further proceedings by the said Council, be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MOUNT ROSKILL ROAD BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Mount Roskill Road Board hereby resolved as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Mount Roskill Road Board Water and Drainage Loan of £40,000, 1923, authorized to be raised by the Mount Roskill Road Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of—(a) the construction of sewerage reticulation with an outfall to the Manukau Harbour, together with all and every other requirement in that behalf, £36,310; (b) the taking up of all small watermains and replacing the same with a four-inch watermain, reconnecting all existing services thereto, and the provisions of valves for fire-fighting purposes and any other requirement relating thereto, £3,690: £40,000—the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one (1) penny and twenty-five sixty-fourths (25/64ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the drainage-water area, being the eastern portion of the Mount Roskill Road District—namely, commencing at a point where the boundary between the Mount Roskill Road District and the old Epsom Road District cuts the Manukau Road near Greenwood’s corner by a right line westerly along that boundary to The Drive, thence southerly along the eastern side of The Drive to Selwyn Road; thence westerly along Selwyn Road to St. Andrew’s Road; northerly along St. Andrew’s Road to Landscape Road; westerly along Landscape Road to the western boundary of Lot 4; thence along the western and southern boundaries of Lot 4 to the western boundary of Section 3, and along the western and south-western boundaries of Section 3, and then by a right line to the south-eastern corner of Section 81; southwards along St. Andrew’s Road to the northern boundary of Section 85E; thence westward along that boundary to Three Kings Road, and southwards along that road and across Mount Albert Road to the eastern boundary of the Veterans’ Home property; thence along the eastern boundary of that property and along the southern boundary produced in a right line to Hillsborough Road, thence along the north-western and north-eastern boundary of Section 11 to Queenstown Road; north along Queenstown Road to the northern boundary of Allotment 21; eastward along the northern boundaries of Allotments 21 and 20 to the boundary between the Borough of Onehunga and the Mount Roskill Road District; northward along that boundary to Mount Albert Road; easterly along Mount Albert Road to the Royal Oak corner; and thence northward along Manukau Road to the starting-point near Greenwood’s corner: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
