Borough Water-gravitation Loan of £28,000, authorized to be raised by the Taihape Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of water-gravitation, the said Council, pursuant to section 22 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, hereby increases to one (1) penny and three-fifths (3/5ths) of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of one penny half-penny (1½d.) in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution passed by the said Council on the 20th day of May, 1921, on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Taihape, such rate of one penny half-penny (1½d.) in the pound sterling being insufficient to provide for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on such loan; and that such special rate as increased shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION OF THE DEVONPORT MOTOR TRANSIT COMPANY (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the DEVONPORT MOTOR TRANSIT COMPANY (LIMITED), held at the office of the Devonport Steam Ferry Company (Limited), Ferry Buildings, Auckland, on the 2nd day of May, 1924, the following resolution was carried:—

“That the Devonport Motor Transit Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily, and that FREDERICK MORTIMER, of Devonport, near Auckland, in New Zealand, Company Secretary, be appointed Liquidator of the Devonport Motor Transit Company (Limited).”

At a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company, held on the 22nd day of May, 1924, the above resolution was duly confirmed so as to constitute the same a special resolution.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a special general meeting of shareholders of the above-named company will be held at the offices of Messrs. Christensen and Stanford, Solicitors, High Street, Marton, on Wednesday the 25th day of June, 1924, at 2.30 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator.

The business will be carried on by the said PERCY GEORGE EASSON and ANNIE ELIZA HOLDER EASSON, and all debts due to the late firm will be received by and all debts due by the said firm will be paid by them.

Ordinary Weekly Gazette: For the first 32 pages, 9d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 28s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
