MEDICAL REGISTRATION.
I, ROBERT GEMMELL BURNETT SINCLAIR, M.B., Bac. Surg., 1924, Univ. N.Z., now residing in Hawera, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 12th June next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Wellington.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and its amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Education Act, 1914, to execute a certain public work—namely, to acquire a school-site at Haven Road, Nelson, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the Education Board of the District of Nelson situated in Hardy Street, Nelson, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land are required, if they have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, to set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Education Board of the District of Nelson at its address, being Hardy Street in the City of Nelson.
THE SCHEDULE.
All that piece or parcel of land, containing one acre three roods seven perches, more or less, being Parts of Native Reserve Sections 62, 63, 64, and 65 on the plan of the City of Nelson. Bounded towards the north (562·58 links) by other parts of said Native Reserve Sections 62 and 63; towards the east (122·79 links, 134·34 links, 96 links, 75·9 links, 73·3 links, 66·83 links, and 70·69 links) by Haven Road; towards the south (42·36 links), and south-west (269·82 links, 223·38 links, and 97·84 links) by Maori Road: excepting out of the said piece or parcel of land a portion of a closed road crossing the said Sections 63 and 64, containing 18 perches, more or less.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £30,000, authorized to be raised by the Waitemata County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes set out in the Schedule hereto, in the Kumeu Riding of the County of Waitemata, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and three-sixteenths of one penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kumeu Riding, comprising the whole of the area within the limits of the Kumeu Riding of the County of Waitemata; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and the first day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
SILVERDALE WHARF AND TURN-BASIN.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the Waitemata County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of a wharf at Silverdale, in the Wade River, and the construction of a turning-basin in connection therewith, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the special-rating area, legally defined as a legal subdivision and in accordance with the ratepayers roll and plan, confirmed at a meeting of the Waitemata County Council held on the 20th day of March, 1924, and affecting portion of Wainui and Pukeatua Ridings of the county. Such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly, on the 1st days of June and December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
