His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps and Territorial Force:—
N.Z. STAFF CORPS.
Lieutenant G. H. Clifton, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Staff Officer to the General Officer Commanding N.Z. Military Forces, and is appointed Adjutant, 1st Battalion, Wellington Regiment. Dated 1st May, 1924.
1ST N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (CANTERBURY YEOMANRY CAVALRY).
Captain W. L. Harrison is transferred to the N.Z. Air Force. Dated 14th May, 1924.
4TH N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (WAIKATO).
Lieutenant A. G. Macdonald is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class II (b) R. D. 2. Dated 12th May, 1924.
THE REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Lieutenant R. W. Fenton (19th Battery) to be Captain. Dated 5th May, 1924.

The notice published in the N.Z. Gazette No. 22 of 10th April, 1924, relating to the appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation B. T. J. Jones (2nd C. Battalion) should read “2nd Lieutenant,” and not as therein stated.

Major S. J. E. Closey, M.C., to be Lieut.-Colonel (lst Battalion). Dated 4th May, 1924.
The Hauraki Regiment.
Lieutenant J. Mitchell, M.C. (lst C. Battalion) retires under the provisions of General Order No. 184/21 with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 12th May, 1924.
