COUNTY OF HAURAKI PLAINS.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of four thousand five hundred and twenty pounds (£4,520), authorized to be raised by the Hauraki Plains County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of a bitumen road in the Turua—Orongo Road Loan Special-rating Area, the said Hauraki Plains County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5d. in the pound upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the Turua—Orongo Road Loan Special-rating Area, comprising all that area of land in the County of Hauraki Plains bounded as follows—Commencing at a point in the eastern boundary of the county opposite the southern boundary of Section 35s of the Orongo Estate, Block VII, Thames Survey District; thence bounded towards the north by a line proceeding in a westerly direction along the southern boundary of Orongo Estate; and thence in a north-westerly direction along the western boundary of the said Orongo Estate to the north-western boundary of Lot 3 on D.P. 9708 of Part Ngataipua 1b 1 and East 2A and Pirau West Section 2 and Wharetoa Block; and thence along the said north-western boundary of the said Lot 3; thence bounded towards the west by a line proceeding in a south-easterly direction along the south-western boundaries of Lots 3 and 4 on the said D.P. 9708; thence along the western boundaries of Ngataipua East 2E Block, Te Awamahanga B Block, Kaipapaka Block, and to a point in the western boundary of Oparia No. 1 Block, 10 chains 50 links north of the southern boundary of the said Oparia No. 1 Block; thence bounded towards the south by a line proceeding in an easterly direction by a right line to the north-western corner of the Turua Town District in the said Oparia No. 1 Block; and thence along the northern boundary of the Turua Town District to the Waihou River; and thence bounded towards the east by a line proceeding in a northerly direction by the eastern boundary of the county to a point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off, to Ernest Walton, County Treasurer, at the County Office at Ngatea.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £6,300, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling roads in the Central Walton Roads Special-rating Area, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and one-eighth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Central Walton Roads Special-rating Area, comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland being bounded as follows—Commencing at a point on the Piakonui River, being the north-west corner of Section 11, Te Pae o Tu Rawaru, and part Te Waikaukau, thence in an easterly direction through Sections 31 and 30, Richmond Downs, to a point in the centre of Section south part of 5 on D.P. 13089; thence following a public road in a south-easterly direction to a point in the centre of Section 6 on D.P. 13089; thence by a right line nearly due east through the centre of Section 6 to its eastern boundary; thence in a north-westerly direction following the north-east boundary of Section 6 to its intersection with Section 8 on D.P. 13089; thence in a north-easterly direction following the south-east boundary of the said Section 8 to its eastern corner situated on the Piakoiti Stream; thence following the Piakoiti Stream in an easterly direction to a point being the centre of Section 7, Te Pae o Tu Rawaru, Block XVI, Maungakawa Survey District; thence in a north-easterly direction by a right line through the centre of Sections 7 and 6, Te Pae o Tu Rawaru, to a point in the centre of the north-east boundary of the said Section 6; thence in a north-westerly and north-easterly direction to the railway-line where it intersects Section 2, Te Pae o Tu Rawaru; thence in an easterly direction following the railway-line to where it crosses the Waitoa River, being the most northerly point in Section 27, Block XII, Wairere Survey District; thence in a generally southerly direction following the county boundary-line to the most southerly point in Section 17, Block XII, Wairere Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction to the most easterly point in the said Section 17; thence in a north-easterly direction following the north-west boundary of Section 17 for a distance of about 35 chains to the centre of the south-east boundary of Section 5, Te Pae o Tu Rawaru; thence in a north-westerly direction for a distance of about 40 chains, and in a south-westerly direction for about 45 chains, to a point being the centre of Section being parts 12 and 13 of Te Pae o Tu Rawaru; thence in a north-westerly direction through the centre of Section parts 12 and 13 to a point being the centre of its western boundary; thence in a southerly direction for a distance of about 20 chains to the south-east corner of Section 5 and 10A of Te Pae o Tu Rawaru; thence following the southern boundary of the said Section 5 and 10A to its south-west corner; thence following the eastern boundary of Section 11 and Nos. 2A and 2B, Te Pae o Tu Rawaru, to its most southerly point; thence in a westerly direction and a northerly direction, following the southern boundary of Section 2A and 2B and the westerly boundary of Sections 2A and 2B and Section 11, Te Pae o Tu Rawaru, to the point of commencement. And that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £13,150, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling roads in the Kiwitahi Roads Special-rating Area, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and five-eighths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Kiwitahi Roads Special-rating Area, comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland being bounded as follows—Commencing at a point on the Morrinsville-Rotorua Railway line where it intersects the north-west boundary of Te-Au-o-Waikato 5B, Block XI, Maungakawa Survey District; thence following the railway-line in an easterly direction to where it crosses the Piako River, being on the boundary-line between Blocks XI and XII, Maungakawa Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction following the north-east boundaries of Section northern part Kiwitahi No. 1A and of Sections 13 and 14 on D.P. 13089 (part Section 31, Richmond Downs) to the most easterly corner of the said Section 14; thence in a north-easterly direction following the boundaries of Section 1 on D.P. 13991 (part Section 32, Richmond Downs) to its north-east corner; thence in a generally southerly direction following the eastern boundaries of Sections 1 and 2 on D.P. 13991 and of Sections 9 and 8 on D.P. 13089 (part 32, 29, and 28, Richmond Downs) to the eastern corner of Section 8; thence in a south-westerly direction following the south-east boundary of Section 8 to its intersection with Section 6 on D.P. 13089; thence in a south-easterly direction following the north-east boundary of Section 6 to a point midway in the said boundary-line; thence due west to a public road through the said Section 6 to its western boundary so as to divide the section into two equal parts; thence following the public road in a north-westerly direction to a point in the centre of Section south part of 5 on D.P. 13089; thence in a north-westerly direction to the Piakonui River, being the south-west corner of P 5 on D.P. 14115; thence in a south-westerly direction following the eastern boundaries of Sections Kiwitahi No. 1A, No. 1, and No. 1B, and No. 1C
