the Treasury Regulations made on the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and gazetted on the eighth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty; and doth direct that the regulation hereby made shall form part of and be read with the aforesaid regulations, and shall come into force on the date of gazetting thereof.

REGULATION.

  1. OFFICERS of the Public Service must at all times guard against being placed in such a position as may lay them open to the suspicion of being influenced, in the discharge of their duty, by other than purely public considerations. They are to be scrupulously careful in their relations with public-service contractors, their agents, or employees.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of April, 1924.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Dairy-produce Export Control Act, 1923 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations for the purposes of the said Act.

REGULATIONS.

(1.) THE travelling-allowances, fees, or other remuneration of members of the Board shall be such as are from time to time determined by resolution of the Board.

(2.) Without limiting any authority conferred on the Board by the said Act, the Board shall have power, for the purpose of carrying on its business, to borrow moneys by way of bank overdraft or otherwise howsoever, and may give as security therefor debentures, mortgages, or other securities charged on any or all of the assets of the Board.

to be a Ranger under the said Act for the East Coast Acclimatization District.

to be a trustee, in the place of Arthur Morris, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Ngaruawahia Public Cemetery.

to be a trustee, in place of George Thomas Burgess, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Kaitawa Public Cemetery.

to be a trustee, in place of Peter Chamberlain, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Ellesmere Public Cemetery.

to be a trustee, in place of John Alfred Thompson, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Foxhill Public Cemetery.
