Extending Time for holding General Election of Members of North Rakaia River Board.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of March, 1924.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twenty-seven of the River Boards Act, 1908, it is provided that the general election of members of the various River Boards throughout the Dominion shall be held on the second Tuesday in January in every third year:
And whereas it is expedient to extend the time for holding such election of members of the North Rakaia River Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section forty-two of the River Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the time for holding the general election of members for the North Rakaia River District; and doth hereby order and declare that in the aforesaid river district the said general election shall be held and take place on Tuesday, the fifteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of March, 1924.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the twenty-third day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and gazetted the third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, but only in so far as it affects the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto, prohibiting all alienation of the land other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 31 of the seventh day of the following month, Alexander McKay, of Mangonui (hereinafter called “the licensee”), was licensed to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark in Mangonui Harbour, as shown on plan marked M.D. 3027 (three sheets) and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, in order to erect and maintain thereon a store, warehouse, and offices as shown on the plan so deposited as aforesaid for a term of fourteen years computed from the twenty-fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and ten. And whereas the said license having expired, the licensee has made application for a fresh license
