Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 7th day of January, 1924.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE D. H. GUTHRIE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loans.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the Order in Council made under the said Act on the tenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and gazetted on the eleventh day of the same month, by including Kuwau Island in the Second Schedule to the said Order in Council.

Declaring the Manawatu Gorge Loan Block Road in the Pahiatua and Kairanga Counties to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 7th day of January, 1924.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE D. H. GUTHRIE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that road in the Wellington Land District, Pahiatua and Kairanga Counties, known as the Manawatu Gorge Loan Block Road, commencing at its junction with Cross Road, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction adjoining or passing through Sections 28, 30, 35, and 36, Block I, Mangahao Survey District, Sections 18, 21, 22, 25, and 8, Block II, Mangahao Survey District, and terminating at a point opposite the boundary between Sections 1 and 8 of the said Block II, Mangahao Survey District, being a distance of eight miles, more or less. As the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 58613, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 14th day of January, 1924.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Education Act, 1914, and the amendments of that Act, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the amendments set forth in the Schedule hereto in the regulations in force at the making of this Order relating to public schools—salaries, grading, staffing—pupil teachers and probationers, training colleges, and Native schools (hereinafter referred to as “the regulations”); and with the like advice and consent, doth prescribe that this Order shall come into force on the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, except where otherwise specified.
