SCHEDULE.

I. REGULATIONS REGARDING PUBLIC-SCHOOL TEACHERS’ SALARIES, ETC.

  1. CLAUSE 3 of the regulations is hereby amended—

(a.) By inserting in subclause (1) thereof, before the words “teachers in public schools,” the word “certificated.”

(b) By revoking subclause (2), and substituting the following :—

“(2.) (a.) A deduction of £10 per annum from the salary payable to a certificated teacher under subclause (1) of this clause shall be made in the case of every uncertificated head or sole teacher who is not the holder of a license to teach.

(b.) Uncertificated assistant teachers other than relieving teachers shall be classified by the Senior Inspector and paid according to the following scale :—

Provided that holders of licenses to teach may be paid £10 more than these rates, and that teachers recommended by the Senior Inspector on account of special proficiency may be paid at such higher rate as the Minister shall determine.”

(c.) By revoking Schedules I, II, III, and Part II of Schedule IV thereto, and substituting the following :—
