THE COMPANIES ACT, 1908, SECTION 262 (2).

I, JOHN MORRISON, Assistant Registrar of Companies, do hereby give notice that an affidavit, a copy of which is hereunder given, by two directors of THE NEW ZEALAND SMELTING COMPANY (LIMITED), has been lodged with me, and that, unless notice of objection be lodged with me within sixty days of this date, I shall proceed to declare the said company to be dissolved, in the manner provided by the Companies Act, 1908.

  1. That the nominal capital of the said company is £625, in 625 shares of £1 each.
  2. That the shares have been fully paid up.
  3. That the company has no assets, and has ceased to carry on business.

And we do hereby apply for declaration of dissolution of such company.

NOTICE is hereby given that the SOUTHERN UNION GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY OF AUSTRALASIA (LIMITED) is now carrying on business at Christchurch at Number 211 Manchester Street, instead of Number 90 Hereford Street, where the office or place of business of the company was formerly situated.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of TOTARA SAWMILL LIMITED, held at Mark Sprot and Co.’s Buildings, Mackay Street, Greymouth, on Friday, the 7th day of March, 1924, at 9 o’clock in the forenoon, the following extraordinary resolution was passed, that is to say :—

“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily ; and that JOHN MARTIN BUNT, of Greymouth, Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

AT a general meeting of the company held this day at the registered office of the company the following resolution was passed as a special resolution, and it is accordingly hereby resolved as follows :—

“ That the company be wound up voluntarily under the Companies Act, 1908, and that ARTHUR MAURICE ANDERSON, of Wellington, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby, appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up, and that this resolution is passed as a special resolution.

BY an order made by His Honour Mr. Justice Sim in the above matter dated the 14th day of March, 1924, on the petition of the Commissioner of Taxes on behalf of the Crown, it was ordered that the said BUCK SALES (LIMITED) COMPANY be wound up by this Court under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and that the costs of the petitioning creditor, the said Commissioner of Taxes, of and incidental to the said order be taxed and be paid out of the assets of the said company.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, trading as Tea and General Merchants, 22 Fanshawe Street, Auckland, under the style of “ Dunn and Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent. DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between HUGH BELL WOODS and PERCIVAL JAMES JENNINGS as Moving-picture Proprietors, at Paeroa, Karangahake, Thames Valley, and the Hauraki Plains, under the style of “ Woods Pictures,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.

The business of the late firm will hereafter be carried on by the undersigned, PERCIVAL JAMES JENNINGS, on his own account under the style of “ THE GAIETY THEATRE.”
