A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

CANTERBURY-OTAGO FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.—OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
Provisional State Forest No. 21.
ALL that area in Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 16,600 acres, more or less, and being Sections 26, 35, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, and 52, and part Section 46, Block VI, Otara Survey District; and Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 11, Block XII, Waikawa Survey District; and Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9, Block XIII, Waikawa District; and Section 7, Block VII, Waikawa District; Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, 17, and 23, Block XI, Waikawa District; Sections 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 32, Block X, Waikawa District; and Section 30, Block IX, Waikawa District: commencing at the south-west corner of Section 43, Block VI, Otara District—bounded towards the north by Section 43 aforesaid and Sections 44, 45, and Sawmill Area 549A, Block VI, Otara District; towards the north-west and south-west by Sawmill Area 549A aforesaid, to Section 45, Block VI, Otara District; thence towards the west by the last-mentioned section to a road forming the southern and western boundaries of Section 33, Block VI, Otara District; thence by said road to Section 29, Block VI, Otara District; thence again towards the north by Section 29 aforesaid, and a road forming the southern boundaries of Sections 28 and 27, Block VI, Otara District, to the Waikawa District boundary; thence again towards the west by Section 27, Block VI, Otara District, to a road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section 26, Block VI, Otara District; thence towards the south-east by the last-mentioned road; towards the west by Section 25, Block VI, Otara District; towards the north by Section 22, Block IV, Otara District; towards the east by Section 9, Block XII, Waikawa District; thence again towards the north generally by a road forming the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section; towards the west by Section 10, Block XII, and Section 7, Block III, Waikawa District; thence towards the north-east by a road forming the south-western boundaries of Sections 16, 17, 18, and 20, Block III, Waikawa District, to Section 3, Block XII, Waikawa District; thence towards the east and north by the last-mentioned section; thence towards the north generally by a road forming the southern boundaries of
