Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the South Ward of the Borough of Masterton was taken on the 5th day of December, 1923, on the proposal to raise a loan of £28,300 for the purpose of revising the reticulation of the South Ward water-supply, &c. Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Porirua Riding of the County of Makara was taken on the 12th day of December, 1923, on the proposal of the County Council to borrow the sum of £3,000 for the purchase of roadmaking machinery. The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 165; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 36. I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.
