THE following notices, received from the Chairman of the Council of the County of Wairoa, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

WAIRAOA COUNTY COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Ruapapa No. 2 Special-rating District taken on the 30th day of November, 1923, on the proposal of the Wairoa County Council to borrow the sum of one thousand pounds (£1,000) for the purpose of erecting the Mangakahakaha and Te Irina-o-wharo Bridges on the Ruapapa Road,—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 10; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was nil.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Mangaruhe Special-rating District, taken on the 30th day of November, 1923, on the proposal of the Wairoa Council to borrow the sum of one thousand pounds (£1,000), for the purpose of erecting the Mangaruhe Stream Bridge on the Ohuka Branch Road,—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 12; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was nil.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Waikaremoana Riding taken on the 30th day of November, 1923, on the proposal of the Wairoa County Council to borrow the sum of one thousand pounds (£1,000), for the purpose of erection of bridges on the Waikaremoana Road,—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 30; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 10.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Tahuna Road Loan No. 2 Special-rating Area was taken on the 28th day of November, 1923, on the proposal of the Piako County Council to borrow the sum of £12,000 for the purposes following :—

Old Piako County boundary, passing through Section 9, Block IX, Waitoa Survey District, to Tahuna Post-office (formation and metalling)
