JELLICOE, Governor-General.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, the lands enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto were temporarily reserved as endowments for primary education, upon the dates specified in the second column of the said Schedule:
And whereas notices of such reservations were laid before both Houses of Parliament: And whereas the two Houses have passed resolutions, upon the dates specified in the third column, approving, in terms of the three-hundred-and-twenty-fourth section of the Land Act, 1908, of the lands being permanently set aside as endowments for primary education:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto are hereby reserved as endowments for primary education.

Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject to the Land Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of a provisional State forest set apart by Proclamation dated the twelfth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and gazetted on the fifteenth day of that month, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be a provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing 975 acres, more or less, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 1713, situated in Blocks IV and VIII, Mahinapua Survey District. Bounded as follows : Commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 1980, Block VIII, Mahinapua Survey District; thence running in a north-easterly direction, being a continuation of eastern boundary of Section 1980, for a distance of 137 chains, to Adair’s Road; thence generally in a westerly direction following along the south side of the said road to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Section 2912, Block IV, Mahinapua Survey District; thence in a south-westerly and north-westerly direction following along the eastern and southern boundary of said section to the eastern boundary of Mahinapua Creek Reserve; thence generally in a southerly direction following along the eastern boundary of the said Mahinapua Creek Reserve to the north-western corner of Section 1980 ; thence in a south-easterly direction by the northern boundary of said section to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 10/98/8, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Change of Name of Locality “Plimmerton Extension” to “Karehana Bay.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS settlers in the locality known as “ Plimmerton Extension,” in the County of Hutt, desire that the name of such locality should be changed to “ Karehana Bay,” and it is considered expedient to alter the same:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the locality known as “ Plimmerton Extension,” in the County of Hutt, shall be and the same is hereby altered to “ Karehana Bay,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such locality accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, not being earlier than six months after the first publication thereof in the Gazette.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of June, 1923.

WHEREAS it is provided by section three of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, that any area or areas of land may be constituted an electric-power district or outer area of such district under the said Act and in the manner therein provided:
And whereas a petition praying that the County of Cook, Borough of Gisborne, and Town District of Patutahi may be constituted an electric-power district under the said Act, and that the County of Waikohu and Town District of Mangapapa may be constituted an outer area of such electric-power district, was presented to the Governor-General on the sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred
