Declaring a Native to be a European.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of November, 1923.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section seventeen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1912, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Order in Council, on the recommendation of the Native Land Court, declare any Native to be a European :

And whereas Abe Rarere, of Opoutama, Hawke's Bay, being a Native within the meaning of the Native Land Act, 1909, applied in the prescribed form for a recommendation of the Court that he might be declared a European : And whereas the said Court, having duly inquired into the said application, has recommended that an Order in Council be issued declaring the said Abe Rarere, of Opoutama, Hawke's Bay, to be a European : And whereas it is expedient that such declaration should be made :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on him by section seventeen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1912, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare the said Abe Rarere to be a European.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Massey Park Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of November, 1923.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke an Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-sixth day of that month, appointing a Domain Board to have control of the Massey Park Domain, and doth hereby appoint

The Chairman of the Waiuku Town Board, ex officio,
Alfred Martin Barriball,
Charles Joseph Elmsly,
Eric Hay,
Charles Ernest Howden,
Joseph John Albert James,
Richard William Arthur James, and
Harry King

to be the Massey Park Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, at half-past seven o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Town Board Office, Waiuku, as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

MASSEY PARK DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 14 perches, more or less, being part Lot 73 of the Village of Waiuku. Bounded towards the north-west by Lot 65 of the aforesaid Village of Waiuku, 300 links ; towards the north-east by Lot 66 of the said village, 324 links ; towards the east and south-east by a public road, 389·86 and 491·07 links ; towards the south by a public road, 210·09 links ; and towards the west by Lot 228 of the aforesaid Village of Waiuku, 819 links :

Also all that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods, more or less, being part of Lot 73, Village of Waiuku. Bounded towards the east by a public road, 552·35 and 175·97 links ; towards the south by a public road, 463·73 links ; and towards the north-west by a railway reserve, 129·17 and 749·97 links :

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked 1/221, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland plans 1491, 3769, 19366/8, 9.)

Also all that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing 4 acres 0 roods 14 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 228 of the Parish of Waiuku East, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 47, folio 249, Auckland Registry :

Also all that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing 1 rood 29 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 229 of the Parish of Waiuku East, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 50, folio 143, Auckland Registry.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Waipahi Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of November, 1923.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Robert Melrose,
Walter Frederick Denton,
James Campbell,
Frederick William Beccard, and
Alexander Murray

to be the Waipahi Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the fourteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, at half-past seven o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Waipahi Public Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

WAIPAHİ DOMAIN.—OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 14, Block VII, Town of Waipahi: Area, 5 acres 2 roods 16 perches.
