Consenting to Stopping Portion of Road in Block XI, Whakatane Survey District, Whakatane County.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of November, 1923.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Whakatane County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 3 acres 0 roods 18·3 perches,

Adjoining or passing through Sections 173, 174, and 224A.

Situated in Waimana Parish, Block XI, Whakatane Survey District. (Auckland R.D.) (S.O. 22422.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 58382, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Constituting the Tokoroa Rabbit District.—Notice No. Ag. 2325.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of November, 1923.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section sixty-nine of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), as amended by the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1918, it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, on petition in that behalf from a majority of the ratepayers therein, constitute and declare any part of New Zealand defined in such Order in Council a district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act:

And whereas a petition in accordance with the provisions of the said Act has been received, asking that the lands described in the Schedule hereto be constituted and declared a rabbit district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act and its amendments, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby constitute by the specific name of “the Tokoroa Rabbit District,” and declare that part of New Zealand defined in the Schedule hereto to be a district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act; and doth hereby further declare that the Board of Trustees for the said district shall in terms of the said Act consist of six members.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Matamata County commencing at the point where the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 2G 2, Matanuku Block, joins the Waikato River, and running easterly thence along the south-eastern boundary of said Section No. 2G 2 and Sections 2F 2 and 2B 2 of same block; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundaries of said Section 2B 2 and Sections 2, 2A 2, 2C 2, 1B 2, and 1A 2 of same block to the southern boundary of Section 9, Waotu South Block; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of said Section 9 and Section 14, same block; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of said Section 14, same block, to the Waotu-Lichfield Road; thence following such road in an easterly direction to its intersection with the Pokaiwhenua Stream; thence following such Pokaiwhenua Stream in a south-easterly direction to its intersection with the Taupo-Napier Road; thence in a northerly direction along such road to the south-western corner of Te Ranga No. 2 Block; thence still northerly along the western boundary of such block to the Whakapiwai Stream; thence in an easterly direction up such stream to its junction with the Karakonui Stream; thence in an easterly and southerly direction up such stream to its junction with the Mokaihaka Stream; thence in an easterly direction up such stream to the eastern boundary of the said Matamata County; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of said Matamata County to a point known as Uraura Trig. Station No. 807; thence in a south-westerly direction along the south-eastern boundary of an education reserve called Tokoroa No. 2 to the southern corner of such education reserve; thence by a direct line to the point where the eastern boundary of Section 9 of a block known as Whakamaru-Maungaiti G joins the Kopokorahi Stream; thence following such stream to its junction with the Waikato River; and thence following such Waikato River in a north-westerly direction to the commencing-point.

Declaring Portion of Road in Opaku Survey District, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of November, 1923.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

Declaring Beckman’s Road in the Ohinemuri County to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of November, 1923.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that road in the Auckland Land District, Ohinemuri County, known as Beckman’s Road, commencing at its junction with the Waitekauri-Waikino Road, in Block X, Ohinemuri Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction, adjoining or passing through Section H.P.L. 95, Block X, Ohinemuri Survey District, and part Section 5, Block XI, Ohinemuri Survey District, and
