Additional Land at Cave taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway (Washdyke–Eversley Branch).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Washdyke–Eversley Branch of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway to take further land at Cave, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway :

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 1 rood 23 perches. Portion of R.S. 21176, Block IX, Pareora Survey District, Mackenzie County. (S.O. 1857, red.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 32955, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of November, 1923.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land described in the First Schedule hereto ; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
