Notifying Lands in Taranaki Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and twenty-six of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the twelfth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.

Waitara Borough.—Town of Waitara West.

SECTIONS 4 and 6, Block XCIX: Area, 2 roods; upset price, £85.

Situated in Strange Street, with a frontage of 252·8 links thereto, about midway between Brookes Terrace and Parris Street.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 30th day of October, 1923.

Postmaster appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Robert Cropp, being a person holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at Tarawera, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

As witness my hand this 31st day of October, 1922.

District Public Trustees authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section two hundred and eighty-eight of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, and section sixteen of the Justices of the Peace Amendment Act, 1923, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding office in the service of the Crown as stated opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under section two hundred and eighty-eight of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

Rangers under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, appointed.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by section 35 of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, the undermentioned persons have been appointed Rangers under and for the purposes of that Act for the undermentioned districts respectively:—

Waimarino Acclimatization District: William John Brown Dinwoodie, of Ohakune.

Wellington Acclimatization District: John Alexander Baine, of Wellington.

South Canterbury Acclimatization District: Alexander McPherson, of Cave, and James Rowan, of Fairlie.
