Section 27, Block XIII : Area, 141 acres 0 roods 25 perches ;
capital value, £220; half-yearly rent, £4 8s.
Section 28, Block XIII : Area, 106 acres l rood ; capital
value, £220; half-yearly rent, £4 8s.
Elevation ranges from about 275 ft. to 800 ft. above sea-
level. Broken to undulating land. The bush is light, mixed
and somewhat stunted, comprising taraire, towai, rata, titoki,
and tanekaha, with a light undergrowth of supplejack and
kiekie. About half the block is open fern country, nearly all
ploughable. The soil is volcanic, resting on volcanic and
sedimentary formation. Sections are well watered by per-
manent streams, and are situated from a quarter of a mile to
two miles from Whatoro Railway-station.
Whangarei County.--Waipu Parish.
Section 371: Area, 77 acres 2 roods 13 perches; capital
value, £60; half-yearly rent, £1 4s.
Weighted with £59, valuation for improvements comprising
felling and grassing £29, fencing £30.
The elevation ranges from 400 ft. to 500 ft. above sea-level.
The section comprises about 10 or 15 acres ploughable, balance
very broken, about 7 acres bush felled and grassed, 15 acres
surface sown, balance fern and tea-tree scrub and gorse.
Soil is of mostly fair to poor quality clay, resting on clay
formation; well watered by creek. Access is from Waipu,
which is about four miles and a half distant, metalled about
three miles.

Primary-education Endowment Land in the Suburbs of Clyde,
Hawke's Bay Land District, set apart as an Addition to a
Site for a Public School.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section five of the Education Reserves
Amendment Act, 1911, it is enacted that the Governor-
General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of
the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments
vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the
Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, set apart as sites
for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any
part of such reserves or endowments :
And whereas the Land Board of the Hawke's Bay Land
District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the
portion of the primary-education endowment described in
the Schedule hereto should be set apart as an addition to
a site for a public school, and it is expedient to give effect to
such recommendation :
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts
aforesaid, do hereby set apart the portion of the primary-
education endowment described in the Schedule hereto as
an addition to a site for a public school.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods, more or less, being part
Section 13, Class II, Suburbs of Clyde. Bounded towards
the north by Lucknow Street, a distance of 261·8 links ;
towards the east by part of Section 13, a distance of 888·6
links; towards the south-west by Fraser Street, a distance
of 313·5 links; and towards the west by Poutaka No. 29, a
distance of 600 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or
less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S.
6/6/45, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 21st day of July, 1923.

Bounded towards the north by Lot 7 of Land Transfer plan
No. 194, being part of Section 25, Block XV, Invercargill
Hundred, a distance of 250·01 links; towards the east by the
eastern parts of Lots 5 and 6 of Land Transfer plan No. 194,
being part of Section 25, Block XV, aforesaid, a distance of
330 links; towards the south by Lot 4 of Land Transfer
plan No. 194, being part of said Section 25, a distance of
250 links; and towards the west by Lot 26 of Land Transfer
plan No. 194, being part of said Section 25, a distance of
330·04 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As
the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/2,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
