Settlement Land in Otago Land District proclaimed to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1922, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, whether before or after the passing of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1922, to, inter alia, be ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1908 :

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the land described in the Schedule hereto, and which was acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, shall cease to be settlement land and become ordinary Crown land for disposal under the Land Act, 1908 :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section three, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, shall be Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Land District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 827 acres 0 roods 6 perches, more or less, being Section 2, Block II, Tarras Survey District, Sections 13 and 19, and Pre-emptive Rights C and D, Block I, Wakefield Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Run 630, 4845·8 links; towards the north-east by said Run 630, 8750·3 links; again towards the north-west by said Run 630, 1149·1 links; again towards the north-east by Section 14, Block I aforesaid, 4951·4 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 9435 links; towards the south-west generally by Section 22, Block I, and Run 630 aforesaid, 18803·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Also all that area in the Land District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 92 acres, more or less, being Section 3, Block II, Kawarau Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by a public road, 2150 links; towards the north-east by a public road, 3950 links; towards the south-east by Section 4, 2262 links; and towards the south-west by Section 5, 3900 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked L. and S. 8/9/85, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of July, 1923.

Additional Land taken in Puketapu Survey District for the Purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Napier Northwards, Eskdale Section), and for a Road Approach thereto.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Napier northwards, Eskdale Section), and for a road approach thereto.

FOR RAILWAY.

FOR ROAD APPROACH.

Situated in Block XI, Puketapu Survey District (Hawke’s Bay R.D.). (S.O. 749, green.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 57288, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of July, 1923.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of stopped Government road declared to be Crown land : 1 acre 0 roods 5 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Allotment 134 E.R., Parish of Omaru, Block V, Matakohé Survey District. (S.O. 22437.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 57216, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion this, 23rd day of July, 1923.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Norsewood Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road :—
