Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Palmerston North taken on the 8th day of June, 1923, to borrow the sum of £25,000 to complete the erection and construction of the new gasworks, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 486, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 142 ; informal, 3.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
