County Council Cattle-tick Dip Loan of £900, 1922, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting two cattle-tick dips and purchase of the necessary land, as authorized by section 203 of the Counties Act, 1920, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third of a penny (½d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Matata Cattle-tick Dip Special Rating Area, viz.,— All that area in the Auckland Land District, Whakatane County, bounded commencing at the mouth of the Herupuru Stream, N.E. corner Run 63B, Block VIII, Waihi South S.D., and running south along the left bank of the Herupuru Stream to the northern boundary of Section 1, Block XII, Waihi South S.D.; thence westerly to the north-west corner of the said Section 1, and south along western boundary of the said Section 1 to the north-east corner of Section 5, Block III, Rotoma S.D., to the north-west corner of said Section 5; and thence south along the county boundary until the said boundary meets with the Te Teko -Rotorua Road at the south-east corner of Lake Rotoma; thence generally in a north-easterly direction along the Te Teko-Rotorua Road to the Tarawera River; and thence in a northerly direction along the left bank of the Tarawera River to the west bank of the mouth of the Tarawera River Diversion Block VI, Awa-ote-Atua S.D.; thence in a westerly direction along the high-water mark of the Bay of Plenty to the point of commencement. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the Ist day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years (15), or until the loan is fully paid off. WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Whakatane County Council hereby resolves as follows:— That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Whakatane County Council Cattle-tick Dip Loan of £3,000, 1922, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting seven cattle-tick dips and purchase of the necessary land, as authorized by section 203 of the Counties Act, 1920, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (½d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Rangitaiki Plains Cattle-tick Dip Special Rating Area, viz.,— All that area in the Auckland Land District, Whakatane County, bounded commencing at a point on the east bank of the mouth of the Tarawera River Diversion Block VI, Awa-ote-Atua S.D.; thence southerly along right bank of the Tarawera River to the southern corner of Section 6, Block IX, Rangitaiki Upper S.D. IHAIA ROAD SPECIAL LOAN.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Egmont County Council hereby resolves as follows :— That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Egmont County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of widening, metalling, and tar-sealing that portion of the Ihaia Road in the Opua Riding of the County of Egmont situate between the southern boundary of Sub-division 5 of Section 36, Block IX, Opunake Survey District, and the Wairemu Road, the said Egmont County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and eighty-nine one-hundred-and-eighths of one penny (ld. and 89/108d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rate-able property in the said Ihaia Road Special Rating Area as described in the Schedule hereunder; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until he loan is fully paid off.
