Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Coal Creek Flat Domain.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

to be the Coal Creek Flat Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the thirtieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Schoolhouse, Coal Creek Flat, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

COAL CREEK FLAT DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods 38 perches, more or less, being Section 44 and part of Sections 37 and 54, Block II, Teviot Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by part of Section 52 of aforesaid block, 940·7 links; towards the south-east by Section 56 of aforesaid block, 457·2 links; again towards the north-east by said Section 56, 1161·9 links; towards the east by the public road, 287 links; towards the south-west by a line bearing 287° 51’, 2152·6 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 694·5 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/596, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Further Portion of Westport Colliery Reserve set apart for Railway Purposes.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of May, 1923.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section three of the Westland and Nelson Coalfields Administration Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1893, it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General, by Order in Council, shall define such portions of the Westport Colliery Reserve, in addition to the portions thereof already set apart for railway purposes by Orders in Council (Gazettes of 1876 and 1894, pages 200 and 1394 respectively), as are likely to be required for railway purposes or other public purposes, and shall set apart such further portions for the aforesaid purposes accordingly:

And whereas it is desirable that the portion of the said reserve described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the hereinbefore in part recited Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling him in that behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby define the portion of the Westport Colliery Reserve mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto as likely to be required for railway purposes, and doth hereby set part the same for railway purposes accordingly.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 16 perches, more or less, being Section 6 of the Colliery Reserve, Town of Westport. Bounded towards the north-west by Rintoul Street, 50 links; towards the north-east by Section 7 of the before-mentioned colliery reserve, 200 links; towards the south-east by Section 101 of the said colliery reserve, 50 links; and towards the south-west by the railway reserve, 200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked W.R. 32130, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington.
