IN pursuance of the powers delegated to me under paragraph (d) of section 8 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority conferred by subsection (2) of section 9 of the said Act, as amended by subsection (1) of section 3 of the Post and Telegraph Amendment Act, 1920, do hereby authorize the following Telegraph officer to take declarations of Postmasters and other Post officers:—

Scheme of Control of the Napier High Schools.

IN accordance with the provisions of the Education Act, 1914, and with the powers thereunder, I, Christopher James Parr, Minister of Education, do hereby, on the advice of the General Council of Education, approve of the following amendment to the scheme of control for the Napier High Schools as published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 16th July, 1915:—
Subclause (1) of clause 2 thereof is hereby amended by the deletion of the words “July in every second year thereafter,” and by the substitution therefor of the words “March in each succeeding year.”

Appointing Saturday as the Statutory Closing-day in the Combined District of Cambridge and Leamington.
WHEREAS a poll to determine the statutory closing-day in the combined district of Cambridge and Leamington, comprising the Borough of Cambridge and the Town District of Leamington, was duly taken under the authority of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, on the 26th day of April, 1923:
And whereas the Town Clerk of the Borough of Cambridge has notified me that the majority of the votes given at such poll were in favour of the appointment of Saturday as the statutory closing-day in the said combined district of Cambridge and Leamington:
Now, therefore, I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, do hereby appoint Saturday as the statutory closing-day in the said combined district of Cambridge and Leamington as from the 14th day of May, 1923.
