Blakiston,” was dissolved on the first day of April, 1923, by mutual consent so far as concerns the said Robert Hugh Fraser, who retires from the firm. All debts due to and owing by the said firm will be received and paid respectively by the undersigned REGINALD NORMAN BLAKISTON, by whom the business will in future be carried on at Dannevirke as heretofore under the said firm-name of “Blakiston and Blakiston.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between HENRY WARD and CLEMENT C. BROWNIE, carrying on business as Metal-workers at Wanganui under the style or firm of “Ward and Brownie,” has been dissolved as from the 18th day of April, 1923. And the said business will be carried on in future by Mr. C. C. Brownie, who will discharge all liabilities of the late firm and to whom all debts are payable.

DEFINITION AND CREATION OF A SPECIAL AREA AND DIVISION OF THE SPECIAL AREA INTO SUBDIVISIONS.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution of the Christchurch Drainage Board was passed at a meeting of the Board duly convened and held on the 17th day of April, 1923:—

On the motion of Mr. Otley, seconded by Mr. Burgoyne, it was resolved:—

That whereas the Christchurch Drainage Board proposes to construct certain drainage-works which will not benefit directly or indirectly the whole of its district, the Board doth hereby by virtue of the powers and authorities conferred upon it by the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1922, define and create as a special area all that area of land described in the Schedule “A” hereto, comprising the lands that would in the opinion of the Board be benefited directly or indirectly by such works.

And the Board doth hereby resolve to divide the said special area into two subdivisions as follows:—

(1.) As land receiving or likely to receive direct benefit from the construction of the drainage-works—all that area of land described in the Schedule “B” hereto.

(2.) As land receiving or likely to receive only an indirect benefit from the construction of the said drainage-works—all that area of land described in Schedule “C” hereto.

SCHEDULE “A.”

All that area of land situated in the Christchurch Survey District comprising the Borough of Riccarton and parts of the City of Christchurch, Heathcote County, and Waimairi County, as contained within the boundary hereinafter described,—
