THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Council of the County of Waitomo, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Mahoenui No. 3 Special Rating Area in the County of Waitomo, taken on the 23rd day of March, 1923, on the proposal of the Waitomo County Council to borrow the sum of £1,000 for the purpose of widening and completing the metalling of portion of the Piopio–Mahoenui Road north of the Mangaotaki Bridge, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 28, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 14.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Raetihi, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

BOROUGH OF RAETIHI.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Raetihi was taken on the 4th day of April, 1923, on the proposal of the Council to borrow £3,000 for the following purposes:—
(a.) Installation of complete feeder-panel with recording and integrating wattmeter, to comply with the Public Works Department regulations.
(b.) Construction of new forebay screens and forebay with pipes and raising of surge tower.
(c.) Reinstalling main transformers, increasing lines, street lighting, &c.
(d.) Purchase of meters and construction of house service connections.
(e.) Extension of payable distribution-lines.
The number of votes recorded for the above-named proposal was 13, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was nil.
I therefore declare that the proposal was duly carried.

EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal of Bridge Rate in the East, West, and Alfredton Ridings.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the County of Ekatahuna was taken on the 12th day of April, 1923, on the proposal of the Ekatahuna County Council to make a bridge rate in terms of sections 23 and 24 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and amendments thereto, in each of the several ridings of the Ekatahuna County.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal in the East Riding was 40, and the number recorded against the proposal was 10.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal in the West Riding was 126, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 48.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal in the Alfredton Riding was 59, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 11.
I therefore declare that all proposals were carried.

OTAMATEA COUNTY.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Komiti Fruitlands Special Rating District of the County of Otamatea was taken on the 31st day of March, 1923, on the proposal of the Otamatea County Council to borrow the sum of £2,750 for the purpose of metalling and general improvement of roads in the Komiti Fruitlands Special Rating District.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 18, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was nil.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notices, received from the Mayor of the Council of the Borough of Morrinsville, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

BOROUGH OF MORRINSVILLE.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Inner Area of the Borough of Morrinsville taken on the 28th day of March, 1923, on a proposal that the Morrinsville Borough Council should borrow the sum of £16,000 to install a sewerage scheme in the said Inner Area of the borough, including the provision of a dump for the disposal of nightsoil, the acquisition of land, purchase of material, labour, and all incidental and contingent expenses in connection therewith, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 102, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 22.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Inner Area of the Borough of Morrinsville taken on the 28th day of March, 1923, on a proposal that the Morrinsville Borough Council should borrow the sum of £1,000 for the purpose of making advances to owners of property in the said Inner Area of the borough of a proportion of the cost of connections with the sewerage system to be installed in the said Inner Area, or to install such connections at the discretion of the Council, in pursuance of the provisions in that behalf contained in section 228 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 100, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 23.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Outer Area of the Borough of Morrinsville taken on the 28th day of March, 1923, on a proposal that the Morrinsville Borough Council should borrow the sum of £1,000 for the purpose of providing in connection with the sewerage system proposed to be installed in the Inner Area of the Borough of Morrinsville a dump for the disposal of nightsoil, including the acquisition of land required as a site for such dump, and of paying the increased cost of such sewerage system occasioned through provision being made therein for ultimate
