to be Deputy Commissioner of Stamp Duties for the purposes of the Stamp Duties Act, 1908, Assistant Registrar of Companies for the purposes of the Companies Act, 1908, Registrar of Building Societies for the purposes of the Building Societies Act, 1908, Registrar of Industrial and Provident Societies for the purposes of the Industrial and Provident Societies Act, 1908, and Assistant Registrar cf Incorporated Societies for the purposes of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908, and its amendments, at Dunedin, as from the 17th day of April, 1923.

Commissioner of the Supreme Court appointed.
HAROLD WILLIAM RIGGALL, Esquire, of 120 William Street, Melbourne, in the State of Victoria, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, has this day been appointed by the Right Honourable Sir Robert Stout, P.C., K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the State of Victoria, under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

2nd Lieutenant J. H. Rose (1st Battalion) is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 1. Dated 17th April, 1923.
The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) H. C. Eaves (7th C. Battalion) lapses. Dated 17th April, 1923.

Gordon Lindsay Taylor to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), (3rd C. Battalion). Dated 29th March, 1923.
John Angus Dunning to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), (3rd C. Battalion). Dated 7th April, 1923.
Keith William Rutherford Glasgow to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), (3rd C. Battalion). Dated 13th April, 1923.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Major E. L. Marchant, O.B.E., M.B., retires under the provision of General Order 184/21, and is granted permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 10th April, 1923.
N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.
The Reverend G. E. Weeks, Chaplain, 4th Class, Reserve List, Class II, resigns his commission. Dated 12th April, 1923.
MEMORANDA.
2nd Lieutenant L. Lewin [late Unattached List (General List)] is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class II (b), R.D. 10, with the rank of Lieutenant. Dated 13th April, 1923.
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 65, of 31st August, 1922, relating to the posting of Lieutenant L. Lewin to the Retired List is hereby cancelled.
