on the west generally by the southern and western boundaries
of the said Allotment 52l, and by the western boundaries
of Allotments 520, 285, 268, and 263 of the Parish of Te
Papa, to the southern boundary of Allotment 259 of the
Parish of Te Papa; thence by the southern and western
boundaries of the said Allotment 259 and the western and
northern boundaries of Allotment 254 of the Parish of Te
Papa to the right bank of the Waiorohi Stream; thence by
the said right bank of the Waiorohi Stream to the point of
commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of £750, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga
County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of acquiring or purchasing land for a new road
leading from Karana Road to Rangiuru Railway-station,
fencing same, and constructing the said new road, the said
Tauranga County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of seven-eighths of a penny in the pound sterling upon
the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the
Rangiuru Special Rating Area of the County of Tauranga,
comprising the whole of the Rangiuru Special Rating Area,
bounded on the east commencing at the south-east corner of
Section 5, Block V, Te Tumu Survey District, by the eastern
boundary of the said Section 5 and the southern, western,
and northern boundaries of Section 11A, Block V, Maketu
Survey District, and a production of that boundary to the
right bank of the Kaituna River; thence on the north and
west by the said right bank of the Kaituna River to the
south-west corner of Lot 1 of Section 6, Block III, Maketu
Survey District; thence on the south by the southern boundary
of the said Lot 1 of Section 6 to the north-western corner of
Lot 2 of Section 6, Block III, Maketu Survey District; thence
on the west and south by the western and southern boundaries
of the said Lot 2 of Section 6 to the north-western corner of
Karangi A No. 4B; thence on the north-west, south,
south-east, and south-west by the north-western, southern,
south-eastern, and south-western boundaries of the said
Karangi A No. 4B to the northernmost corner of Karangi A
No. 3C; thence on the north-west, south-west, and south-
east by the north-western, south-western, and south-eastern
boundaries of the said Karangi A No. 3c to the easternmost
corner of the said Karangi A No. 3C; thence on the south-
west by the south-western boundary of Karangi A No. 4B
to the north-western boundary of part Karangi A No. 2;
thence on the north-west, south-west, and south by the
north-western, south-western, and southern boundaries of
the said Karangi A No. 2 to the south-eastern corner of
the said part Karangi A No. 2; thence on the south-west
by the south-western boundary of part Pukaingataru B
No. 8 to the railway reserve; thence on the south by the
northern boundary of the said railway reserve and the northern
boundary of the public road to the south-eastern corner of
the said part Pukaingataru B No. 8; thence on the east
and north-east generally by the eastern and north-eastern
boundaries of the said part Pukaingataru B No. 8 to a point
in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1, part Pukaingataru
B No. 9; thence on the east generally by the eastern bound-
aries of part Pukaingataru B No. 9, part Section 7, Pukai-
gataru B, part Karangi A No. 1, Lot 1, Lots 1 and 2 of
part 5, Block III, Maketu Survey District, and the eastern
part Lot 1 of 2B, Block III, Maketu Survey District, to the
north-eastern corner of the said eastern part Lot 1 of 2B;
thence again on the east by a production of the last-described
boundary to the northern side of the public road; thence
on the south generally by the northern boundary of the
public road to the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a
half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WHANGAMOMONA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Whangamomona County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in re-
spect of principal and interest and also the other charges on
a loan of one hundred pounds (£100), authorized to be raised
by the Whangamomona County Council, under the Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of metalling por-
tions of the Poarangi Road for so far as the money will go,
the said Whangamomona County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Poa-
rangi Loan No. 1 of £100 Special Rating Area, comprising
Sections 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 11, Block 11, Mahoe Survey
District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able half-yearly on the first day of July in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

1923, now residing in Wellington, hereby give notice
that I intend applying on the 10th May next to have my
name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of
New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of
my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and
Deaths at Wellington.

of 140 Richmond Road, Auckland, in the Provincial District
of Auckland, in New Zealand, Driver, and IRA GEORGE
SMITH, formerly called and known by the name of Ira George
Lynge, of Paterangi, near Ohaupo, in the Provincial District
of Auckland, in New Zealand, Farmer, do and each of us
doth hereby give public notice that we have assumed and from
henceforth upon all occasions intend to sign and use and to be
called and known by the surname of SMITH in place of our
former surname of Lynge; and, further, that such change
of surname is formally declared and evidenced by a deed-poll
under our respective hands and seals bearing date the sixteenth
day of March, 1923, and enrolled in the office at Auckland of
the Supreme Court of New Zealand.

In witness whereof we have signed and subscribed ourselves
by our respective assumed and intended future names.
