And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amendments:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

TAUMARUNUI Native Township, Subdivision R 3, being Lots 1, 2, and 3 (L.T. 15250) of Sections 2 and 4, Block VIII: Area, 36 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of March, 1923.

Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amendments:

State Reformatory Institution declared a Reformatory Home.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section two of the Reformatory Institutions Amendment Act, 1918, it is provided that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation, declare any building or place to be a State reformatory institution, and thereupon such building or place, together with such area of land immediately adjoining as may be defined in the Proclamation, shall be deemed to be a reformatory home within the meaning of the Reformatory Institutions Act, 1909:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that the building and land described in the Schedule hereto shall, from and after the date of the publication of this Proclamation in the Gazette, be a State reformatory institution, known as the Point Halswell Reformatory Home, within the meaning and for the purposes of the Reformatory Institutions Act, 1909.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that building containing seventeen rooms with appurtenances thereto, known as the West Ward of the Point Halswell Reformatory for Women, together with the land in and around the said building, being portion of Military Reserve (Sections 1, 2, and part 3, Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District). Bounded towards the north by a line due east from the Evans Bay shore to a point on the watershed sixteen chains south of Point Halswell, towards the east by the said watershed passing through Mount Crawford to the south boundary of the said Military Reserve, towards the south by the southern boundary of the said Military Reserve to the Evans Bay shore, and towards the west by Evans Bay.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of March, 1923.

Additional Regulations under the Stamp Duties Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of March, 1923.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Stamp Duties Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the regulation made on the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and in the place thereof doth hereby make the additional regulation set forth in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby notify and declare that such additional regulation shall form part of the regulations of the eighth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, and gazetted on the thirteenth day of the same month, and shall take effect on and after the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three.

SCHEDULE.

THE stamps for the fees payable under the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908, in respect of the several matters specified in the first column hereunder shall be impressed upon or affixed to the document specified opposite such matters in the second column hereunder, that is to say:—

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of March, 1923.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government roads.
