Declaring Land taken for a Government Work, and not
required for that Purpose, to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land
described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject
to the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of stopped Government road
declared to be Crown land: 3 acres 2 roods 27·6 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 15, 16, 17, 21, 20, 22,
18, 19, Block III, Piopiotea West Survey District (Taranaki
R.D.). (S.O. 6008.)

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 56289,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of March,
1923.

Land taken for the Purposes of Gravel-pits in Blocks III,
Pihanga, and X, Puketi Survey Districts.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby pro-
claim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of gravel-pits,
and shall vest in His Majesty the King as from the date
hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the seventeenth
day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
three.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken :—

A. R. P. Being
3 0 0 Section 1, Block X, Puketi Survey District.
3 0 2 " 1 " III, Pihanga Survey District.
3 0 0 " 2 " III
(Being part of Ohuanga North Block.) (S.O. 1707.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 55759,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of March,
1923.

Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia,
that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land
has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under
the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-
General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become
Crown land :
